This has nothing to do with transgender rights, My post was "should females compete against biological males"

Actually the hang up has to do with Title 1x gals having equal rights to there teams and support.
It was a common since ruling that both sex's cam up with for fairness. Nothing about gender rights.

I had the read the article and thought it was interesting and wanted to share it for feedback.
I really dont think either view is right or wrong.
They just need to come up with a way to address it with common since and fairness. If its keeping testostrone at certain levels fine. My issue had to do with is there an advantage?

What about sports where biological women have an advantage over biological men? Should transgendered be allowed to participate in those?

Agree 100%. A person born a man should not be allowed to compete in women's sports.

I have no problem with a transgender league, or allowing them to compete with men.

Just like a 7th grader should be allowed you play up against 8th graders but not down against 6th graders.

Men are naturally born more athletic, faster, stronger, and with lower body fat than women.

Many events in gymnastics and ice skating biological women have an advantage. Should someone who has transgendered from a woman to man be allowed to compete in those sports?

There could be a rule to compensate, like, the former man has to wear high heels while playing.

Or they could wear 50-pound backbacks. Or blindfolds. Their choice.

Or the former men could have no negative compensation, but the women competing would have positive compensation, like, they wouldn't have to wear their tight itchy bras.

I don't think all the steroids in the world will help with gymnastics or ice skating.

Those sports are already available for men.

Probably because women's tackle football would not generate enough revenue to support it. The roster and equipment requirements for tackle vs flag would be substantially different. It would also drain money from other men's and women's sports.

Flag football has greater potential to by picked up by more colleges than women's tackle football. More colleges with teams means better TV contracts and gives the sport a greater chance of succeeding.

No, because men have a competitive advantage. Since women have no suck advantage why not let them participate in men's sports if they such desire?

Speaking of going both ways, this thread goes 3 ways:

    1. Should females compete against biological males? (thread title)
    ..a. Should they decide to
..b. Should authority allow them to

    2. If yes, how can leagues be sustainable? (thread title's long-term version)
..a. Let girls enter boys' leagues, but not v.v.
..b. For safety, allow it only for low-contact sports, not football or wrestling.
..c. My idea: Add a disadvantage for boys in girls' leagues, like a weighted backpack.

    3. Are you repulsed by transsexual surgery? (should be a new thread)
..a. Yes. It's disgusting to verbalize, so the new thread will get few responses.
..b. Cutting off my balls and dick doesn't bother me any more than my big toe.

I didn't remember all the options appearing in the thread so far, so feel free to copy and paste the outline with additional lines.
