I'm glad the Blazers didn't do the trade. I don't know why Houston didn't give the ball to Harden more late in the 4th so he could create. He was blowing by Mathews almost every time he touched the ball.

Because we were not double teaming d12. It's what was done with shaq.... Don't double team him and everyone else falls out of the offense since they feed the middle. So then in crunch time they are cold.

I'm actually glad I wasn't posting hear when that went on. Shit would have gotten real. ;)

Bottom line, LA's never played for any length of time with a legit big man. Lopez has made all the difference. LA doesn't have to guard centers, and center can't guard LA all game. Recognize! MVP! MVP! MVP!

    So true. MVP level.
    Easy. This year's Aldridge.

Yes. He is the best big in basketball. No question.
He'd probably be considered the best Blazer ever. He'd have a title (which Drexler doesn't have) and an 8 year body of work (which Walton doesn't have).

I love that your considering that. All five starters get retired easily.

Please stop bumping 2-3 year old threads to say I told you so.

A mod recently told me that posting simply to provoke is not allowed. All you are doing by bumping this is trying to provoke people

Don't worry, it's a silly joke. Probably not that funny either.

How about Aldridge my man? Finally getting to a superstar level!

it's a PG driven league, Westbrook even with his problems is more valuable because of his position and is one of the best in the league at it. He is also starting to become smarter with the ball and making better decisions.

How is that GS deal not a fair deal? I love LMA but if we had Barnes and Wes or Klay coming off the bench we would be beastly. Best bench in the league. The drop off from LMA to Lee is big but Barnes would give us more versatility as well since he thrives as a small ball 4. Klay is a big SG who could slide over to the 3 as well. Lots of ways to attack defenses with that team

Never, never, never, ever be the team giving up the best player in the trade...especially when that best player is an all-star big. The NBA, more so than any other team sport, is about quality of the top few players and less about quantity.

Natebishop wasn't provoked at all. He admitted he was wrong. We're all having fun here. What your problem?

This post is meant to provoke as well.

My problem is people bumping old threads to overcompensate for their small whatever

But Aldridge is playing on MVP level. None of those other guys are.

What's your problem? Why are you picking a fight? We're playing great and most people here are happy.

Sure right now he is but that core would set us up pretty nicely for the next decade

No it wouldn't. Why do you want to trade the best big man in the league? To be fair, I'd didn't think it was an awful trade during offseason, but obviously now, it's a bad deal.

Thompson is playing pretty well, but we had no idea Aldridge would step up to an MVP level and Lee seems to have fallen off a bit.
