<div class="quote_poster">Mercury Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Ok I got my Xbox 360 today. Unfortunately no games at the moment. Thanks for your suggestions guys.</div> Get Saints Row and Gears Of War. Those two are a must have IMO.
Saints Row is just a GTA rip off with better effects, IMO. If you love GTA then rent it, but if you're looking for something fresh and original I would definitely pass on that. Gears of War is definitely a solid purchase though, I would say one of the best games out there period.
I think Gears of War is so overrated. It's fun, and the game play is great..but the story mode is so short. MLB 2k7.
MLB 2K7 is stellar. There could be major improvements to the pitching, but the graphics and smooth gameplay suck you in. You just awe at the visuals and the attention to detail on every player. Right down to the way they come to the plate. That'd be the first game I purchase if I bought a Xbox 360 or PS3 right now.
Oh yea I forgot about MLB 2k7. Another game I am interested in. I do have to say I hate the $60 price tag. $50 was stiff enough.
Well if you're going to pay full price, go with one of the best games. What are you interested in most right now? Sports, action, other?

Might try to get NBA 2k7 tomorrow, and like Gears of War somewhere around the next 2 weeks. After that I'll manage my budget a little more, and decide from there.
Dunno if they do it where you live, but for X-Mas I got NBA 2k7 bundled with my 360 for the reg. price at Target..dunno if they still do that.
If you got Xbox Live, then Gears of War has a much better replay value. Otherwise, like Mamba said, the storymode is great but much too short.
I never really got into Gears of War on Live, but that's because I am absolutely sucked into NBA 2k7 and MLB 2k7. I should give it a try.
It didn't. http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/858/858986.html 7.9 IGN rating 8.7 Reader rating WTF you even talking about?
The PS2 version is slightly different, but it is supposed to have something that the Xbox 360 version doesn't have. Check Game Informer on that because I don't remember exactly. Anyway the rates on Gamespot are only .4 off.
I'm playing NBA 2k7, and man it's hard. I can't seem to penetrate into the lane a lot, and on fast breaks there are so many steals

If you notice if you're in your mans face and you jump with them to block their shots, you will often get called for the foul. Also, the thing I hate about it the most is when you're on a fast break and you chunk the ball to your teammate it in the air, the opponent usually jumps up and steal it. This is a big difference in this game.
I like College Hoops 2K7. However, at the moment, it's a little easy, even on the Hard difficulty (I realize I still have 2 difficulties to go too). But anyways, here are my recommendations: Elder Scrolls IV Splinter Cell: Double Agent College Hoops 2K7 NBA Street Homecourt Guitar Hero II (when it comes out) Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfigher (1 or 2) That's just the short list of the games I've played and enjoyed on it. My personal fav has probably been Elder Scrolls IV. The game is beyond huge and you never really run out of things to do. Gears Of War is ok, but I think it's slightly overrated.
Moo I was just wondering, do you pay retail for them? Or do you buy them cheaper from some sites? Or perhaps used?
