How about this? They move to Montreal so there won't be a 26 million Raptor fans <font size="1">just kidding</font> But seriously, why would you move the Clippers?
http://www.justbball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6466 Check this thread out, it has some opinions on an NBA team in Europe
As long as the Clippers are in LA they will be considered the LA j.v. team. The only reason that they are so profitable is because the Lakers games are so expensive.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MVPlaya:</div><div class="quote_post">Are you sure about that? I live in LA and there are MANY MANY fans that love them. Its not like their team is bad, they have Brand, Maggette, and Q.</div> no its not like their team is bad, they just lose a lot. lol
Canada should have a team in Montreal or Calgary so that the Raptors won't be calling themselves Canada's team anymore.
I live in California. Clippers have a-lot of fans there franchise is starting to look better with the new coach and all the players they signed to new long term extentions. I just Hope we still had Miles and Q on the same team. The Franchise is looking better they wont move!

That is one of the big reasons.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Accord:</div><div class="quote_post"> considering the initial proposal to move from Buffalo to San Diego in 1984 </div> Actually, the team moved from Buffalo to San Diego in the 70's. They moved from San Diego to LA in '84. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting notmuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">Even Charlotte, a basketball haven, lost interest in their team after a while . I don't even know what happened there.</div> Oh man, don't get me started. Charlotte DID NOT lose interest in its basketball team. You CANNOT lose interest in your team after averaging over 20,000 fans per game for a DECADE. We were driven away from the team by owners George Shinn and Ray Wooldridge, who first threatened the city for a new arena, then raised ticket prices to make up for 'all the lost profits', and before the last season in town told the city that they were leaving, which is why attendance dropped over 5,000 per game btwn the 2nd last and last seasons in Charlotte. The way they alienated the city(which loves basketball) was wrong, and its the reason Charlotte is getting a new team, and the reason Stern punished Shinn and Wooldridge by sending their team West for next season. The Charlotte scenario is comparable in pro sports only to the Cleveland Browns debacle in the NFL, definitely not to the Clippers. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting franchise3:</div><div class="quote_post">Canada should have a team in Montreal or Calgary so that the Raptors won't be calling themselves Canada's team anymore.</div> Neither Calgary nor Montreal is big enough(or into basketball enough) to support a pro bball team. I think if Vancouver had been a success, more teams might have been possible for Canada, but after the Grizz had to move, I doubt Stern will touch any Canadian city besides Toronto with a 10 ft. pole.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">owners George Shinn and Ray Wooldridge</div> Starman is 100% correct on this one. These are two of the worst owners professional sports has ever seen. North Carolina is probably the second biggest basketball state in the country next to Indiana. Exactly has you said Starman, the fans were driven away by the actions of those two morons. How they managed to alienate such a loyal fan base I'll never know. Charlotte will now have the NBA franchise they deserve, with a tremendous owner. Now, as for the Clippers moving...'gimme a break. Come on now, the team finally gets on the right track and you want to move them to another city! Sorry, but no. I've been a Clipper fan since they moved to LA, and unless you've supported this team for the past 20, mostly miserable seasons, you have no right to suggest that they move. It's well known that most of the basketball fans in this country despise LA, mostly due to the success of the Lakers. Now, everyone is going to hate even more because the Clippers are actually turning into a real NBA franchise! Too bad, deal with it. Besides, the Clippers owe LA. They've gravy-trained the Lakers long enough!

AS for the Clips moving. I agree with Accord. that is IF they had to move @ all..
