Losing him for cap space is a tough pill to swallow.

How many season ticket holders cancel their tickets over Neil's blunder?

I hate to say this. But I kind of hope Allen sells the team. Maybe Merritt Paulson owned the team he'd hire somebody who knew what the hell is going on.

Batum. That was the year after Failton, Camby, Wallace, Crawchuck and no cap space

No, Merritt would not. He would hire Gavin to run operations too.

Don't the Timbers kind of suck? Their owner seems like a douche too.

He hasn't fully removed himself from operations the way he has the Seahawks. And it shows.

Might be for the best if he just can't give that part of it up. He needs to get to the next step

It seems obvious that Neil knew that LA was gone going into this offseason. I don't think Batum gets traded for young guys if it wasn't the case. I think he knew and I think he has been working to add young pieces and start the rebuild.

Nic is just as young if not younger than some of the young guys they brought in.

Henderson is 28, Mason Plumlee is 25 Same age if not mistaken. Don't think Nic's age had anything to do with it.

I think it was much the same analysis...Nic wasn't re-signing here for all the gold in China, and if NO could get a lottery pick for a guy who's on his way out anyway? Alrighty then.
Better one year early than one year late.

We didn't deal Batum for Plumlee.

I can't believe the 'Plan' was to get absolutely nothing for 8 FA's. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket and trading away a 1st Rnd pick in the process.

Your entire post said 'He knew and I think he has been working to add young guys'. That would assume the whole body of work and not just the one deal. My point is Nic was younger if not the same age. Had nothing to do with age. Had to do with him.

You're right. It's because Nic was suited to play I. The LA system. If we are going to move on, we do it right

Pretty sure Hendo was filler. The target was Vonleh. I'm not even sure if Henderson will be on the roster at the beginning of the season.

...absolutely! Especially if these are the "contingencies" he was referring to in the presser. If this roster isn't improved on by training camp, then I believe this has to be the hottest seat in the league.
