It's really the perfect issue for Republicans. You can't debate it rationally, because it's nonsense.

Not quite. State legislature can prevent. One house has Democratic majority and other tied. But governor will do all he can to make sure only Trumpers win future elections.

Rudy Giuliani got his OUTRAGES mixed up. In a recent rant he said critical race theory means students don't know if they are boys or girls.
    Maybe goys?

I guess I always knew the human race was too stupid to survive, so I should stop being surprised. I await with eager anticipation learning how cities disappearing under rising waters will be progressives' fault.

American people are sick of win at all cost politics, and the spewing of anger with a 24/7 news networks.
They want to see government accomplish something in bi partisan fashion, but all they get is back and forth between parties, and even within parties, and accomplish zip.
Its as deep now as the Religious wars and hatred, thats gone on for centuries.
Where are the mediators and conciliators for compromise. Mediate means" bring parties together " and Conciliate means "offering of ideas that can offer a path towards give and take for compromise"
People are sick of fighting just like kids get when all they hear is their parents going at each other, then divorcing.

It's simple. Critical Race Theory causes the oceans to rise up in anger.

I have to disagree with your premise. Americans love taking sides and pledging undying loyalty to their political tribe.

You are right that it is a religious war, but wrong that people want to end religious wars via compromise.

Never said people want to end religious war via compromise. Wont happen.
People want to see government accomplish things not continuous gridlock.
So you pledge undying loyalty to your political side? Its you're side or no side?

People want government to accomplish things in the abstract, but they have a lot of trouble agreeing on which things specifically.

I'm not ready to die for my political preferences. I am willing to leave the country if my fellow Americans get any more stupid, though.

Depends on the wind. First thing I'd do, though, is track down the MarAzul and make that my new pirate ship.

Unsurprisingly, Texas governor backed state legislators with list of 800+ books to remove from schools. Not only is talking about race forbidden, teenagers absolutely must not read anything about sex.

I honestly couldn't care less about bipartisan anything. I want data backed, proven solutions to the roots of actual problems.

IMO partisan anything is bullshit, including bipartisanship.

    agree 100%.....

I think its powerful career politicians that are embolden and bought by lobbyist that misconstrue data and will do anything to get what they want.

Thats why I thought it was a joke, way back, when my folks would simply vote straight dem ballets or grandparents that would vote straight repub ballets.

I see that we've moved on to the book-burning phase.

“I think we should throw those books in a fire,” Abuismail said, and Twigg said he wants to “see the books before we burn them so we can identify within our community that we are eradicating this bad stuff.”
