You'll need to buy him dinner first. Can you afford a couple burritos at Taco Bell?

If they ultimately lose, I would say firing him should probably come down to how they lose. If there's a lot of breakdowns and "Keystone Kops" bullshit, then absolutely. If AD just goes HAM and destroys the Blazers, what can you do? Sometimes it's just a terrible match-up.

Stotts should only be let go if there is a cant miss coaching prospect that happens to be available. Stotts gets so much crap when he loses, but the reality is that he's an awesome coach that usually gets the absolute most out of his players (and is capable of developing younger players into useful rotation pieces). He doesn't run his players into the ground like thibs and actually understands the x's and o's of the game (unlike a lot of coaches in the league). We have a great coach, a great front office, a bunch of studs playing for us, and a pretty damn good culture under the leadership of dame... we just need a bit more raw talent (preferably on the bench and perhaps in the starting 3 spot). The blueprint is there for us to make a real run at this.

Stotts can't go, he makes all of Olshey's bad draft picks look mediocre.

If we lose in the first round, we have to make some change... IMO trading CJ is the right move... but if you want to keep CJ then making a coaching change would be the next logical decision. A coach who will hold players more accountable and is not so player friendly might help Dame/CJ work, if Neil is dead set against breaking up that duo

It's certainly something they would have to think about.

Olshey is the one on the hot seat. But if Olshey goes, I imagine Stotts won’t be long after.

I would elect @tlongII for coach if they lose this series.

As long as I get paid the same as Stotts I'm okay with that.

You know a coach who's looking really good right now? The coach of the Pacers! Their GM's looking good, too.

Yes, let's fire the coach who dragged a team of one star to the #3 record in the most competitive conference (probably) in history, because he lost to a team with a better star and better supporting cast.

Tony Bennett is another college coach that's been discussed in multiple threads on this forum.

He's the other guy that comes immediately to mind for me as well, although after being the first guy to ever lose to a 16, I doubt he's the guy we'd want to bring in to replace a guy fired for underperforming in the playoffs...

If team wins the series then you don’t change anything and let team grow... but losing to a team you should beat, with home court advantage, and with their second best player out, in first round is not acceptable IMO

I don't know. We only won 1 more game than them in regular season. And they've played better without Cousins. It's a close matchup. The good news is they haven't played that great at home and we can win there.
