@VanillaGorilla fuck all that dealer and timing chain crap. What we need is a sawzall and a case of beer!
I would actually love that, looks dope. On an unrelated note, do you have any idea why sometimes I don't get an alert when I'm tagged? Happened with this post and has happened before.
Just yesterday we got behind q Tesla and i told my wife that it wasn't too late to switch from the Volvo XC90 that we've ordered to a Tesla. She loves the idea of a car with no gasoline required.
My wife is on her 2nd EV - and she is never going back to an ICE car. For driving around town - they sure make lots of sense.
She won't have to wait at the pump but she would still have to plug it in. There are definitely trade offs.
My wife plug the car in every night and wakes up to a car with a "full tank". No more complicated than charging your phone overnight. Only issues are if you take long trips over the car's range. We do have regular ICE cars - so when my wife needs to drive somewhere far (say Los Angeles) she takes the car my kid uses to drive to school. Frankly, living with an EV around town is way easier - no gas stations, full tank every morning, minimal maintenance (no oil changes, brakes should last the lifetime of the car). Maintenance basically comes down to tire rotation once a year. I have also learned to put a flashing led in the "motor" compartment - because they are never opened and there is no engine making noise there - rats love to make a home there - and one of these battery operated flashing led things keep them away. Add instant acceleration and very low noise levels - and they really are fantastic utility transportation pods.
That would be great. Funny, I just bought and sold a car and bought another one in the last 24 hours. I know nothing about them though.
