The real question is - hendo for 6-8 million per year or crabbe for 12-14 million per year.

If you go with hendo trade crabbe before the deadline.

If you go with crabbe, trade hendo before the deadline

He looks and plays like a pale version of Kobe. I don't know whether or not that answers the question, however.

I'd rather keep Gerald on the team for the remainder of the season, but I'd listen to offers for him and Kaman.

I'd honestly trade him for as little as a future pick and give our projects more court time.

To be respectful to the players, who are still trying to win every game.

Flip that asset while you can. He's gone this summer and the NBA doesn't hand out compensatory picks like the NFL does.

Perhaps. Hendo has been a little down in coming back from an injury this year

You think Hendo is getting an offer of $12m+?

I doubt that. He's not a three point shooter and the NBA isn't valuing slashers like they once did. I'll say $8-$10million tops.

Henderson is our best perimeter defender. I take him over Aminu. That said, he's likely gone after this season and I'm not too big of a fan of the number of pull up midrange shots he takes. Trade him if possible, but wouldn't mind finishing out this season with him on the roster as well.

Where is the value to the team of "being respectful" to a role player on an expiring contract who has been part of the team for less than a season and was really only acquired as a salary-filling throw-in? Do you think that keeping Gerald all year will somehow make us a more attractive free agent destination?

Or are you suggesting that the players will believe that management is sabotaging their season and chances of winning by dealing away the 9th man on the roster?

    Crabbe fouls too much.

From what I can see (and this applies to both Crabbe and Aminu, although Aminu is overall a better defender), there is a lot of activity when you're watching Crabbe. What I mean is that he's constantly moving, moving his hands, moving his feet etc. It makes you believe their good defenders because there's constant effort. I don't see it leading to results all the time. Henderson just plays solid, straight up defense, no ifs ands or buts. Sometimes he'll come up with a nice highlight block but for the most part he's just damn effective, no wasted motions. He just "knows" how to defend, if you get what I mean.

I'd say Crabbe is solid, but he's got a ways to go.

These assistants chart tips and deflections. I would venture that Crabbe gets more of those on our team than anyone else. And that's because he moves his hands as you say and is perpetually active.

Henderson, until recently, has looked lost on defense. I disagree with the notion that he's our best perimeter defender. He moves his feet-- I give him that, but not much else. Aminu is sorta in the same boat for me.

I don't remember Crabbe ever fouling out of a game..you get in a guys grill and play solid D, you're going to collect a few fouls.

Yup, future lotto protected first rounder, or unprotected second rounder. I don't see his value, tbh. He has played well as of late against shitty teams, but would rather those mins go to Harkless (to at least see if he's worth keeping past the summer).
