Parsons is an unrestricted free agent. They don't have to want to get rid of him. Maybe he doesn't want to stay on an aging team that's going to be horrible in the near future?

I love that kind of blind optimism, Bert. You could honestly charge the Napoleonic Guards with a balsa wood rapier and expect to win, with that attitude. Epic.

Who knows but Parsons and Dame seemed to be buddy buddy to each other at team USA workouts.

And Parsons was benched in favor of Felton last night....

Last major contract for Parsons too at 28. He could get 4 years locked in at 16 million/year with ease. Probably will cost a little more than that

Here is the Dallas roster as it currently sits:

    Wes - 29
    Dirk - 37
    Zaza - 31
    Felton - 31
    Deron - 31
    Parsons - 27
    Barea - 31
    Powell - 24
    Harris - 32
    Charlie V- 31
    McGee - 28
    Justin Anderson - 22
    Jeremy Evans - 28
    Josh Jenkins - 24
    Salah Mejri - 29

Their core is aging and mediocre. Why would anyone want to stay there?

It sucks getting old..believe me...Dallas is old now...I think Cuban has started the trend of overpaying for mid level players. Parsons was the first...now Wes..bet Dirk is regretting cutting his salary to add Parsons now

I don't agree that Parsons is mediocre. Honestly I think he's best case scenario in getting a guy to sign with us through free agency.

He'd keep the medical staff busy, for sure..have the occasional break out game..cost a ton of money...personally, I'd look elsewhere. I'd rather add a Gordon Hayward than Parsons

Hayward is better than Parsons. I don't see him leaving Utah and we would have to trade for him.

Parsons could be free. And I put Parsons on a similar level of batum, but I actually like Parsons more

Who knows the reasoning. Carlisle could be losing it as coach. he's been overrated ever since the mavs won the championship

Trade him or keep him...could be a win either way (that is, if, in the absence of a trade, he were to resign for a reasonable amount).
