That's not a bad idea at all. Watson is a bit unnecessary now that Mo Williams is the first guard off of the bench. If injuries hit, it may make more sense to just give the minutes to a young player like Marshall over Watson, who won't be on the team after this season.
Marshall is still worth taking a flyer on. A flier on. Whatever. He and Watson are at opposite ends of their careers. We know what Watson is. Marshall's story, if there is one, is yet to be written. The point is, we are talking about our third string point guard. It only makes sense to fill that position with a player like Marshall if he is available.
I think Dame and Marshall would be great together in the backcourt. His court vision and Dame's scoring ability would be fun to watch.
Ok ok Big Dawg, I can get behind this. But don't come barkin' round here if he bricks 17 shots in a row and starts crying on the bench midseason.
It's not likely to happen, but if it did we'd have the 5th, 6th, 11th, and 13th picks of the 2012 draft. Next up: Andre Drummond.
Really wish we would have picked up Marshall when we had the chance - that kid is a pure PG. He sure knows how to pass the ball and has unteachable court-vision.
I really wish we would have drafted Jordan or Barkley, and Durant, Chris Paul or DWil. And I really wish I had some grape Pez to fill my Robin LoPez dispenser.
What does Jordan, Barkley, Durant, CP3 and DWill have to do with a guard that could have been signed for next-to-nothing a few weeks ago?
would have liked to get Marshall. I KNOW THIS ISN'T THE END ALL, but he played well in summer league. Really seemed to show improvement from last year.
I like the guy, but he's also playing in the D'Antoni system that makes Ray Felton and Jeremy Lin look like superstars.
I'd go after the distributor in Marshall. I think he could be great in Stotts offense. Olshey can help save another players career from the 12 draft.
Stotts' system doesn't really utilize a PG, though. D'Antoni's system is always most successful when the PG is running the show.
