    Guess i finally need to watch the original on Netflix. It's been sitting in my queue for like 4 years.

    I never understood the appeal of that show.

    Wook, I didn't either until a friend let me borrow the entire series on tape (back in VHS days lol) and it hooked me. There's enough subtlety that it was hard to keep track of everything over the years it came out. Also, missing an episode would've made it really, really hard to follow. Watch episodes back to back and it's pretty engrossing. The fact that it'll be Showtime and can be edgier than network TV is especially cool.

    Maybe I'll give the original series a shot once I finish going through The Rockford Files and Cheers...

    If anyone trying to watch this back when Netflix was only dvds, but couldn't because season 2 was lost, sorry that was me. I think I had it for nearly a year and still didn't finish. Season 1(and part way through 2) is amazing though. Not sure if expect much from a remake or sequel.
