SI needs to do things like this to get attention. But there's also two ways to look at the power rankings. Either you're looking at the whole season, which NBA.com or ESPN most likely does, or you're looking at more recent play, which SI or CBS is doing.
He wants someone to bomb the west coast so he can install himself as dictator for life, and with all those left coast liberals dead, republicans will rule forever! ...um, I mean... Go Blazers!
Umm the guys at SI are professionals that know more about sports than us. If they say we're #1, then we're #1.

That's an interesting take.... considering how many "professionals" can't even pronounce Dame or CJ's names correctly. Damon Leonard and CJ McCollough are a great backcourt!
Did the "professionals" who picked the Blazers to finish last in the NW Division and miss the playoffs also know more than us? BNM

Sometimes, they miss something but they're still way more knowledgeable than us and we should read them so that we can learn. I had no idea Portland was the best team in the NBA but the guys at SI have told me and that makes me excited about our title hopes. #1 is pretty good. Almost the best ranking you can get.
