They pretty much lost the game at the end for themselves but a win is a win.

Its time Frank gets the axe. The man just doesn't learn. Whats with a different lineup every night? What is with the Collins infatuation? Anyone notice that most of Gasol's points came from 18 feet out. The rotation is a mess. Magloire seems to have disappeared off the Nets radar yet Collins and Boone keep getting minutes. Baffling indeed

it's funny that this board complains so much yet offer any type solution to the problem.
Say Frank is the biggest problem-the reaction here is that he should be fired(FIRE FRANK! FRANK IS A MORON! OMG FIRE THIS IDIOT!)
My question is......then what? Hire Barney the Dinosaur as the head coach? Actually that be awesome. DO IT THRON!..............

We're 1 game under .500 and if Vince hadn't been injured, which I know we can't change that it happened, we'd probably be 2 or three games over and nowhere near having this type of conversation. Saying we should have beaten anybody is pretty funny because this team hasn't proven they can be even the slightest bit consistent this season and ya had to believe there was gonna be some letdown after a big west coast trip where they feel they came off a pretty nice accomplishment, I don't care how much they downplayed it afterwards you could see when Vlad missed that 3 in LA that they were excited. Memphis just happened to be the team we were playing the next game and a pretty good up and coming one at that.

I'm pretty thrilled about what Frank has done this year so far. In the past, one of his weknesses (in my view) has been his inflexibility with regard to the starting lineup and rotation. As many people have pointed out, he would use Collins essentially the same way regardless of the makeup of the opposing team. This year, he is really shaking things up and trying to give a different look on different nights. The one-big look with Boone as that one big is pretty intriguing, and he deserves props for giving Boone that opportunity. I don't know what you people are looking for. It's not his fault that certain players have totally sucked.

The same people who are saying fire Frank are far more inflexible than Frank could possibly be. These guys will never be convinced Frank is doing okay, no matter how persuasive your argument.
Just like certain people are not able to alter their opinion of Collins, no matter how badly they are dumpyowned.

thanks; my opinion is pretty clear by now: collins does suck at some things and is good at some other things. Ultimately, his value depends on who is on the court with him and how he is used. In some situations, he could easily be worthless; in others, he could be an integral cog for a winning team. So to answer the question is he is a terrible player: It depends. To go back to the analogy I like to use, if I've got a knight and you've got a bishop, I'm going to do everything I can to make that knight as strong as he can be, such as jamming the center of the board with pawns so that it is irrelevant that he can't attack from long range like your bishop can. I can make that Knight as strong as a fucking rook. Each piece isn't strong or weak by themselves; it depends on the environment that they find themselves in. But there may be a time where I've got to sacrifice the knight to improve my position, because the conditions on the board, such as the other pieces still left, don't mesh with his skills and talents. Likewise, there are times when Collins shouldn't play as much--but the next game, you still start out with that knight and a plan to make it a kick-ass piece.

I'm not saying you do or you don't, but if the hypothetical you doesn't, what the hell's the point in engaging you in a debate about it?
