Dame was forcing him out of his comfort zone. Dame was getting ready to fire him.

I just dont see it happening. Morey is too headstrong to trade us ben for a package around CJ. I mean, this is a dude who is reportedly ready to waste a year of embiids prime for pride.

    We need to focus elsewhere.

I dont see it happening for us, I agree. I think there's probably more appealing packages they can get. I think being told firmly no on dame, like others said Has probably spurned this new bit of activity

I would love to see what top 25 player the 76ers are allegedly gonna get for Simmons. I would call that team immediately and see who else they’re willing to dump.

If you hate the team, that is.

Glad we're a smart franchise now that Olshey is gone. :)

Okc does this for what reason? They already suck enough... wait, CJ would help them tank so thats good... but other than that.

OKC almost certainly wouldn't trade SGA for Simmons, but they might offer Dort and a bunch of picks (along with giving Philly capspace because of the lopsided trade), and Dort is turning into a very solid player. Amazing D and improving 3.

Philly would probably want Kyrie but Simmons isn’t a fit with Harden and the nets. How about CJ and picks to Brooklyn, kyrie to Philly, and Ben to Portland. Idk. Btw Vanterpool is in Brooklyn and CJ lives in NY in the offseason. Means nothing just saying

Dort is exactly the kind of player we need. That’s a great trade for us.

But OKC wants to be bad. The fact that CJ is hurt may appeal to them.

simmons would be a good fit with harden and the brooklyn

harden himself said he wanted to play more off the ball in brooklyn, but it turned out that kyrie wanted the same thing lol, so harden remained main playmaker (hes better playmaker than kyrie of course), but simmons would allow harden to play more of the ball and simmons could drive to the basket with the spacing brooklyn has and obviously, simmons would improve their rebounding and defense

OKC is doing sga a major disservice by not dealing him. Guy could be a superstar.

Maybe it’ll be a three team training involving the Lakers, Blazers and 76ers. Lakers could use a player like CJ. Might the 76ers consider Russell Westbrook and the Blazers will get Ben Simmons? I know more players would have to be involved.

Why would OKC do this unless they get a treasure chest of picks.

You're not going to force the deal anyway. Let them know what you can offer and if he comes close you talk about it more. If not you move on.

No reason to close off communication...

If Dame had the power to get him fired, what makes you think Neil had the power to trade Dame? Logically this makes absolutely zero sense.

Russ is like an old, decrepit, foot shorter version of Ben who unlike been is not afraid due to his lack of a shot to jack up a shot at any time. So they get away from what annoyed them about Ben (that he refused to shoot because he was bad at it) but even though Russ might have stat lines like Ben with the assists and the rebounding and the scoring around the same mark... Russ won't defend his position even though I think he's capable of it, let alone defend every other position on the floor.

Russ is a big name so maybe that would be attractive to a jackass like Morey and if it was, good for us but this would be terrible for the Sixers and maybe that's what they deserve.
