It should be. Unlike last time, the database simply needs to be copied over and loaded up. No conversion from vb4 to xenforo involved (that took a few hours). The other thing is DNS. That might take a little while to propagate. But it wasn't bad at all last time.
I'm down, but I would suggest doing it when we aren't having a game. Today is a good day or Saturday for example. Do not do it tomorrow because I want to kick and scream and be all emo during the OKC game!
In theory, at around 5AM-5:30AM Pacific time, the site will go down while I move all the files to Amazon and load up the server there. I'm guessing it will take less than an hour. Once everything is moved, you won't notice any difference, except (I hope) the issues will either be gone or incredibly rare. I saw double posts occasionally with vb4, too. I can control the hosting, the software, and the server configuration, but I can't control the internet wires between your computer and the server.
i meant with it being oregon servers we can expect everything to quit working briefly at 4:20 every day. until you feed it frozen pizzas and chicken nuggets... and doritos... and taco bell.
