We traded him straight up for the 16th? Why not just take whoever we wanted? We must get somthing else.

I'm guessing they did this because they want to take Marcus Williams. They know New Orleans won't take him because they don't need him. Hopefully they got something else out of this trade though.

I don`t get this pick. We have the same exact player in Iggy. We needed a strong PG in Williams...

Great pick we needed a shooting guard to allow us to move Korver to where he belongs, the bench. Carney and Dre on the break is going to be crazy. Now all we need to do is trade AI, and get Randy Foye from Minnesota lol. I think Marcus Williams lost some credibility within the 76ers organization because of his character issues.

I`m understanding this trade now, Iggy and Rodney will be sick.

An Iverson is trade is almost definite now, isn`t it?

How the hell did the college profiles have Carney at like 6'8 when he's really like 6'5 to like 6'6. But, I guess that's good because he's a great fit at SG. If AI stays ... Iverson running with Carney and Iggy would be sweet.

I'm satisfied with the selections of Rodney Carney and Bobby Jones, Carney is an impressive athlete and decent defender, and Bobby Jones is a tough, Bruce Bowen type defender.

We clearly know what direction this team is moving in with the pick of Carney and Bobby Jones. We have a couple of the best young defensive wing players on our team now in Iguodala and Carney. I'm really excited as I commend Billy King in this draft. Well done...

I'm also starting to think that we're going to get a point guard from the Celtics in the Iverson deal. Don't know if it's Rondo or West but we'll get one, which is why we passed up Marcus. I'm definitely excited though, great draft!!!

So other than a PG from Boston, who else could we get?

I love the Carney pick, I think that King had his mind made up before the draft, although it seemed like he was going for Williams. I still would have rather traded up for Marcus Williams, hes better than any of the Celt's point guards. Bobby Jones is also a nice pick, I read hes a real good Bruce Bowen type defender. Phoniex was trading out of 21, so I think King should have made his move there, too bad we dont have next years first though, but something could have been worked out. With a PG, the team could trade AI for high picks and a backup PF which we still really lack.

If AI does go to the Celts, I want at least Delonte West, a high pick, and Drew Gooden from the Cavs. I dont think West or any of the Celts other PG's are starting worthy, and next years lack of PG's in the draft might make the deal look bad. Next year we need a PG to replace Ollie if we trade AI for a decent PG. I give our draft a B+.

Use your imagination, we could probably get future draft picks, young players, a player that plays Allen's spot to replace him, and maybe some expiring contracts.
