All Sixers fans should be excited. Even though we lost some depth in the frontcourt, this trade has the potential to be like last seasons Sheed to the Pistons trade. If C-Webb can stay healthy then he'll help Allen a lot and will also make the other guys on are team better. Don't be blinded by Webbers offensive game though, because he is still a defensive liability that just means everyone else has to step up defensivly.

This is really the best trade scenario we could have asked for, so props to Billy King for making the trade.

I am of the opinion that there really isnt a clear winner or looser in this trade.
Yes, this trade helps philly right now, but adds a bit of uncertainty because of webbers bad knee. But if he can stay healthy, he gives the sixers exactly what they needed to open their offensive game a bit more and make scoring a lot easier.

But dont think that the Kings got jobbed on it. that is the furthest thing from the truth.
Petrie just flat doesnt make dumb deals. From the Kings point of view this trade was all about the money & the talent the Kings are getting in return beyond possibly Kenny Thomas means little to them beyond a means to break up the salary that was tied up in one player. I dont care what anyone else wants to say, the Kings are rebuilding. And the fact that they are rebuilding and still in the playoff hunt at the same time is a testament to just how good the coaching staff and front office are in this organization (a rebuild that isnt noticed and part of the rebuilding process seen as everything from a bad trade to 'Petrie must know something we dont' issue).

But as this is the sixers forum & not the kings forum, ill stick to my point.

a great trade by both organizations that gets them exactly what they need right now. For the sixers, thats a great passing big man who can (when he wants to) score from inside and outside and knows the game like few others at the 4 spot do.
