Williams has some serious potential. Cheeks really needs to work with him on his decision making and trying to run an offense. If he gets that down he could be an all star in a couple years.

I'm going to be honest, I'm not one of those people who thinks Louis is ever going to amount to anything in the league (certainly not an all star). He can score a few points here and there, but he is too small and turnover prone to ever really be a regular rotation player. I see him fitting the mold of a Jannero Pargo type of guy, someone who will be in and out of the rotation for much of his career, but his ability to put the ball in the basket will keep him in the league.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm not holding my breath with him. I'm still pissed off we took him over Ryan Gomes.

    Sixers Win Against Suns

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It was a collective effort as the Philadelphia 76ers had to work overtime for the third time this summer league. All five Sixers starters reached double figures in points as they outlasted the Phoenix Suns, 104-101, in overtime.

Trailing 80-73 to begin the fourth quarter, the Suns went on 11-4 run to tie the game at 84-84 with less than six minutes remaining. Melvin Sanders gave Phoenix its first lead of the period at the 2:38 mark, 93-91, with a driving layup and foul.

The Suns held the advantage until Sixers? guard Louis Williams notched a three-point play to tie the game 98-98 with 27 seconds remaining. On the ensuing possession, Philadelphia then forced Phoenix into a 24 second violation. Williams missed a three-pointer from the top of the arc and the game headed to overtime, where the Sixers outscored the Suns 6-3.

?I?ve gotten a lot tougher,? Williams said of his growth as a player. ?This last game especially, I was really tired. I was sucking wind when we went to overtime. I had to dig deep.?

Williams finished with a team-high 23 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals in 35 minutes. In five NBA Summer League games, the guard is averaging 25.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.6 steals in 34.2 minutes.

?I had a great time playing here (in Las Vegas) but things aren?t going to get any easier. We have a day off tomorrow, but then we play in Salt Lake on Friday,? Williams said.

Suns? 2007 first round pick (#29 overall) Alando Tucker netted a game-high 29 points and six assists in 35 minutes. So far this summer league, Tucker?s averaging 21.0 points on 53.6% shooting from the field, 4.0 assists and 34.0 minutes in two games.

Phoenix?s other 2007 draft pick D.J Strawberry (#59 overall) scored 19 points and dished out seven assists in 33 minutes of work.

Philadelphia finished the 2007 NBA Summer League with a record of 3-2 while Phoenix is currently 0-2 with three games remaining.

I couldn't get the boxscore, but apparently Thaddeus Young had a big game, with 20 points and 10 boards. Williams had another decent game, but finished with 9 turnovers. Hopefully Mo Cheeks and Andre Miller can mentor him into becoming a better decision maker, because that many turnovers cannot cut it in the NBA, no matter how many points you score
