Pathetic, pathetic dunk contest. Outside of GG, who was on cruise control, no one was even in his league. Every year there needs to be 2 dunkers that can bring out the best in each other in the final round. This year that didn't happen.</div>Co-sign. I thought this was one of the most boring dunk contests ever, there was no WOW dunk and I wish the league would've let Dwight put the rim up, might have been more interesting.
Tyrus should have won, he was by far the best out of all the competitors. Chicago gets screwed AGAIN!

This contest wasn't that exciting. The only really good original dunk wass Gerald's off the side of the glass dunk. That was pretty nice. I would have given that a 9 or a 10.
I loved the Dwight Howard sticker dunk though, real creative, plus it shows he can REALLY get up there..
My favorite dunk that had nothing to do with Gerald or a sticker was definitely Nate Robinson's first one. He threw it up, went up and got it, hung there, and threw that sh*t down hard with some flare. I loved that one.

I know, the kid needs a few more inches. He could be just as good as Gerald if he had them. I still loved that dunk though.
Can you imagine how good Nate Robinson would be if he was 6'5"? He'd be like the best dunker of all time.
Watching Howard yesterday, I really think he deserved to be in the 2nd round. And then re-watching Amare's dunk contest made me realize that the big guys can throw down some great dunks too. Probably just don't win because their height makes it look a little less spectacular. But this 2nd round was crap.
I just hope next year he just goes all out and completely destroys the competition and puts himself in the history books as "the guy who __________ in the dunk contest"I also hope this gives Gerald new confidence and makes him play at the level he can play atThat's all the kid needed...a boost of confidence
Nate Robinson used his best dunks just to get in the second round, Dwight was the better dunker and should have been in it. The 2 best dunks were Gerald's off the side of the backboard and Dwight's sticker dunk. They should have definitely had Rudy or Carney in instead of Tyrus; that would have made this competition so much better.

He only looks like a good dunker now because of his height, and if he was taller he would be just the same as everybody else creativity wise.
Dwight should have advanced instead of Nate. That sticker dunk was awesome. But does anyone know where I can watch the footage of the final round of the dunk competition between GG and NR? My tivo stopped recording right after they eliminated Dwight and Tyrus.

He almost did an off the backboard between the legs dunk last year!!
I wish Shawn Marion would have entered this back when he first came in the league. He used to jump even higher back then too. I think he said he could or almost could get the top of the backboard.
