Dining With Gators in 1920s Florida There are plenty of photos on this list that don't look very safe in hindsight, but this just might be the most obvious. Apparently, you could dine with alligators at this restaurant in 1920s Florida. Amazingly, it seems like nobody was ever injured while doing this - at least not that the park reported. However, it still looks like it would've only been a matter of time. LA Public Library via marinersmuseum The alligators in this photo had to be fed prior to every dinner because we don't see any other way they'd not just overwhelm the one guy standing there with a stick on the right. CERTAINLY ENOUGH PROOF FOR ME THAT THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN STUPID

On November 12, 2023, an incident involving Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputies in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, led to the resignation of Deputy Jesse Hernandez following an officer-involved shooting. Responding to a disturbance involving Marquis Jackson, accused of grand theft auto and making threats, deputies apprehended Jackson after the victim reported his possession of firearms and a silencer. During the ongoing investigation, Hernandez mistakenly interpreted an acorn hitting the patrol car as a gunshot, resulting in both Hernandez and Sergeant Beth Roberts discharging their weapons into the vehicle with Jackson handcuffed inside. No injuries were reported, and subsequent investigations judged Hernandez's response as not objectively reasonable, leading to his resignation, while Roberts was exonerated.
OMFG, this lady is an idiot. "You can't arrest me, I'm not wearing underwear... oh, and I have to go home and feed my dog."
If she were a black man, the incident would have lasted 2% as long. And probably filled him with lead.
