If they are running up the score you shouldn't have to use tatics like that rather take it as motivation because your team isn't that good if it's being blown out.

o.i is right. if your team is being deliberately embarassed by the other team, you should go for KO on their quarterback.

The proper way to stop the offense from running up the score is to play better defense. These are men, not college kids. The teams are being built under the same restrictions, they all get a ton of money to pay for the best facilities that money can buy to train in. Man up and play better defense. Its that simple.

Two wrongs don't make a right. I hate the Patriots and I hate how they are running up the score, but I would never wish injury on anybody. If the opposing coach trys to call a hit on Tom Brady just because their defense can't stop him, then they're even more classless than the Patriots. I don't like the way the Patriots are running up the score, but it's not like they are unstoppable. The Eagles and Ravens both proved that. If your defense is incapable of stopping the Patriots, thenits your fault

When I brought up the possibility of Brady potentially getting hurt, I didn't have cheap shots in mind. Didn't anyone see the Bears-Redskins game this week? QBs can go down at anytime. It's stupid to riskBrady when the game is in the bag.

Especially when the other team might have an agenda for him and the Patriots running up the score.

I still don't understand why you guys are making a big deal about it.
There is no running up the score in the NFL, they're all professional and I as a fan would like to see them play all the minutes in the game, not half a game. If they can score 200 points, I say do it just because you can and let the other team try and stop you. Thats playing football. Taking out your players means you're giving up IMO.
Again remember this is not high school or college. Its a professional league.

I don't have that much of a fear of Brady getting injured because the line is so good. They keep Brady upright and they create space for him to move into and throw from. I think the injury that QBs (and fans) are most fearful of is a guy coming in low around the knees or ankles. The Patriots line doesn't let that happen to Brady.

To further issutrate what Chutney & Do said in posts 14 & 15, Vrabel's whining about Shula's comments a few weeks back. I mentioned something about that and pointed out the sillyness of needing to motivate w/ the us v them spiel.

There's a lot of soccer moms here at S2. I love how people are complaining about them running up the score but the only evidence that has been brought up in this thread was from a game that apparently happened in huevonkiller's imagination.
And even if they were "running up the score", it sure helped them in the Philly, Indy and Baltimore games because I'm not so sure a team full of starters who have only been playing 2 quarters for the entire season is ready to play in a whistle-to-whistle 60 minute football game.

They are special.
