I guess i'm weird... I like drinking alot more. But smoking with a bunch of friends is always real fun, but I like the chillin more than the high.
I'm in the same boat as many of you. I smoke weed casually, not every day, not even every week, sometimes I can go a month or two without getting blazed. I don't smoke cigarettes because they don't do anything for you except give you cancer and make you smell like smoke (which I don't mind but then women can't stand to be around you and my mom would kick the **** out of me). I've never done anything beyond weed because my sister used to be addicted to heroine, dropped out of high school, ****** much of her life up and my uncle is just wacked out and has been in jail for half of my life (and hes homeless most of the time when hes out of jail). <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">For realz? Weed just calms you down, you can walk down the street and people wouldn't know you're high for them most part, you can't OD on it, it isn't addicting. Just in the last month I've known a few guys who got shitfaced and do something stupid and then they're ******. One guy got hammered and started punching through windows, including body slamming himself through a glass table (luckily it was fake glass made for people to fall through I guess). He obviously got caught by his parents, taken to the hospital, stomach pumped, and he ****** up his hand pretty bad. Another guy got shitfaced then by the time all his friends had to leave he was throwing up and passed out an they didn't want to leave him because he could have choked on his own vomit while being passed out so they just dropped him with his parents and hes probably not going to any more parties until he moves out. With weed you don't have those problems, you can go home and have a conversation with your folks for christs sake they wouldn't have a clue that you're stoned out of your mind. Its not dangerous, doesn't mess your judgment up much, you can't get addicted or OD or die from it.

I only smoked cigs on occassion at clubs when I was getting my drink on. It was just something to do when you're outside and tastes better with liquor. Have any of you blazed up using the vacuum technique? It's similar to a bong, but far more intense and without the smoke.
I think weed isn't legalized because there's a negative, criminal stigma attached to it. Similar to gambling and the stock market. Gambling your money on a stock isn't much different than betting on a sports team. The government could easily make money off it just like they do with alcohol. They could have cafes or restaurants who want to sell it pay a licensing fee, just like they do with alcohol. Sure people can grow their own, but most people are too, lazy to do it. Just like people can make their own alcohol if they wanted, but most would rather go to a bar or grocery store and buy it.

<div class="quote_poster">Flow Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">How often do you guys smoke weed anyway ?</div> Kind of depends, during the school year I'd say around once a month, but I've gone long stretches during school where I don't smoke for 6+ months and also gone on stretches where I'll smoke every few days for a few weeks. During the summer or on extended school breaks its much more often, a few times a week minimum but usually I'll light up at least once a day for like 4 or 5 days out of the week.
I'll smoke a few times a week when it's around...which is too often I live with one roomate who smokes, one who doesn't, and probably half my friends do, so it's not like I'm part of some drug ring. It's just SO easy to get around here. I guess it's just a college thing to have it so accesable. And like I've said before, when I go out, I'd much rather be blazed than drunk - you can have intelligent conversations, don't run your mouth, etc. With regard to side effects, I really don't see much harm. I've heard people talk about memory loss, and it's probably true that I've forgotten what I'm about to say a couple times, but my grades haven't dipped or anything, I don't just forget to get gas for the car or turn in an assignment or do my laundry LOL. I honestly feel like booze is worse in every way now that I've figured out what there is to know about bud. But to each his own, I totally understand people who don't want to smoke - I was against it for a long time myself. I guess once I realized there wasn't anything that dangerous or harmful about it, I realized there was no reason that I hadn't tried it before. A lot of the stuff you hear about weed seems to be stigma. What I love is when you're blazed and talking to someone and they say something to the effect of 'yeah man, I don't do weed, that stuff's bad' and they don't realize that they're speaking to someone 2 feet away who is completely baked. I guess it just seems that there's irrational fear and/or apprehension of weed, and I don't think there needs to be. Normally I smoke out of a bong. My roomate has one, and we're going to get a much nicer one soon now that one of my other good friends and I smoke. I have one pipe, and that's my buddy, but I really don't use it all that often...I mean, when there's a bong around, why wouldn't you? Blunts are cool when there's a bunch of people, it's more social. I'd say bong > blunt > pipe > joint. I've not yet smoked out of a hookah, but I'm sure I will sooner than later LOL. I always hit it when I'm on the computer *pauses for a hit* and I can carry it around in my pocket. I've got a nice collection of bongs though, including a very smooth bamboo bong and a huge acrylic one for a more powerful experience.

You can take a pipe anywhere and just pack your dank in there and you're good to go, they're easily concealed, pretty easy to get, relatively cheap. Blunts are also nice, easy to make if you have some cheap cigars easily accessible, it doesn't take a whole lot of skill. Joints are hard to roll, its an art form and if you don't have someone who is a master joint roller then I'd rather smoke some other way. Of course you have some ghetto bong/pipes that I find myself resorting too all too often due to my being underage and not having easy access to a lot of drug paraphernalia. I make a damn good water bottle bong, soda can pipes are ok, apple pipes are alright, aluminum foil pipes are convenient (though I can't make one for the life of me). Occasionally we'll get really creative and make a pipe out of anything; pen caps, straws, etc. really anything that is pipe shaped and you can wrap an aluminum foil bowl around.

If you're that desperate for a bong and you have to be 18 to buy one at headshops over in the Bay Area, then just find some one who is 18 to buy it for you. Bongs are the most intense way to smoke weed that I've experienced thus far, at least the most intense conventional way to smoke.
