It seems unlikely that they just made it up... that there was no dinner, or that Nate wasn't impressed by Miller (think about how few veterans Nate has had... talking to Andre Miller with his decade of experience playing in the NBA must have been kind of a breath of fresh air).

I think, though, that it's being spun as a way to get people excited about their Plan C.

Personally, I'm pleased by the signing. He's a superior player to Blake, although there are some potential issues about fit... but that's the case with ANY player we added. I don't need a cover story about why the team signed him... but I can see how it might placate some more emotional people who don't understand why the team did so.

No i don't know him. He lives in my little computer box.

To be fair I did miss read the original post. I'm more than a little used to coming to this site and reading mounds of bullshit, sometimes too quickly

(But to be fair on your end... you did still turn it into a PR campaign, which in my opinion is a little cynical)

    I do apologize.

    Your friend,

    Odd

P.S. Please turn that little fan on in there, I can feel the keyboard getting hot.

It's sort of funny how there seems to be a ho-hum response to getting Miller, I think he's a helluva lot better player than Hedo and there's no doubt he plays a position of greater need. It's not a pefect acquisition, but for the money and years they got him for I think it makes us a much better team.

I definitely feel better about signing Miller than I did about Hedon't. Not to mention that, again according to Barrett's propaganda blog, Andre Miller REALLY wants to be here. Not that we were basically his last best chance for a decent job or anything.... :devilwink:

I'd love to hear what you think Portland's "simple" offensive sets consist of and how they are less complex than most teams.

I've watched hours of video on lots of teams and I do not see this at all.
