Yes, deep. But would you rather have KG and Perkins on the floor, or 2nd and 3rd string guys? That's what I thought. If Portland can get the front line into foul trouble, they have won a large part of the battle. They also slow down the game which makes the game more comfortable for the Blazers. Fouls=Game stops. Game stops=less transition buckets for the Celtics.
I think it's important to recognize how well Ray Allen understands Nate's offense. He knows it better than any current Blazer. I really think the difference maker could be Rudy. We're going to need to run their backcourt ragged. Their depth in the backcourt is their Achilles' heel. In terms of the frontcourt, we're going to need record games from both GO and Joel. I think both LMA and Channing need to pull KG, Powe, et al out of the post.
Really, because I don't think Nate is running the same offense that he ran when Ray was in Seattle. I could be wrong, but the offense this year, looked more like a hybrid offense based on what Coach K ran in the olympics.
