That is way too early to make judgments about a player. Once a guy retires then can we determine how good of a player he is.

So we can't say that Lebron is a great player until he retires? How about Kobe? I said he's starting to look like he's moving from "very good" to "great" I didn't say he's suddenly going to be an all-time great or a hall-of-famer, but a top ten current player doesn't seem out of reach now, where that would have been inconceivable a few years ago.

The interview after the game was interesting. He basically said he was older, more mature, and stronger! Said he was not coming off a surgery like the year before and had a great off season of training. He has never felt better. (paraphrasing a bit)

But aside from being on fire with his mid range jumper, he really does look stronger. I think it is important to note that some guys naturally mature physically around his current age.

    Hope for Leonard?

I do have hope. Watching us win like this will drive him to work on the real parts of his game like a big man should. He may become a beast next season!

    "I know kung-fu..."

Aldridge's 2nd best game of the season was when he stepped up after Mo and Wes got ejected in GS. I'm thinking it's no coincidence his best game took shape after Westbrook started talking. I hope more teams try to punk his teammates.

No, he doesn't. 9-10 and 5 places out of the playoffs.

LaMarcus has earned every bit of respect he's getting right now. He himself credits the team for his growth, says it's natural. I credit Stotts for putting TEAM first and keeping everyone on the same page. MVP, LA's my choice. This is how legends are made. He's got a good start so far

The "Trade Lopez for Asik" thread is the most active tonight.

Says a lot about this board, to me.

This is the big thing I've noticed all year. LA just looks bigger. He looked like a man playing against boys tonight.

It's because he doesn't have to stand next to Claver this year. Claver is as tall as him and made him look like a shrimp.

Rockets Want For Two First Rounders For Asik

December 1 at 3:57pm CST By Zach Links

We’ve heard that the Rockets’ asking price for center Omer Asik is high, but Houston may be looking for more than anyone expected. General Manager Daryl Morey & Co. are seeking two first-round selections in exchange for the disgruntled big man, according to Alan Hahn of MSG Network (Sulia link).

Of course, that request makes it nearly impossible for the Knicks to land Asik as they cannot trade a first-round pick in any draft before 2018. The Blazers have engaged the Rockets in talks for Asik, but the Bulls apparently aren’t interested in breaking the bank for him. The Pelicans and Hawks are also among the clubs that could have interest.

Idk guys, Bennett is looking pretty good, him and Tristan Thompson would have been quite the coup

Bennett probably wouldn't have been the pick, and Thompson put up 17/21/3blks last night.

Not sure anyone said Thompson was as good as Aldridge either. Thompson, Oladipo (most likely the pick) and the players we signed with all the money we would have had because of LA's salary is what it would have been. LA is 28 years old, so if we don't win a title before he leaves or retires, will you still say this with sarcasm?

But I thought Bennett was the best player in that draft

And when Tristan Thompson leads a team to an NBA title, you can say I told you so

I really thought he would be. Tough to grade him at this point with no off season, pre seaon to work on his game. He is basically doing that now, but he has been pretty poor so far.

I never said Thompson would lead a team to a title
