The shots won't guarantee not getting the virus but give you high percentage chance not staying in the hospital or dying. Hell the flu shot doesn't guarantee your not going catch but it might help you staying out of the hospital or either dying. I haven't caught it but my son and his family did and due to them being healthy they recover. I got all the shots and still wear a mask and still stay away from people in the outing I take.
I’m in the Beaverton area. I was in a couple of stores today and just saw some people not wearing masks and saw a few not wearing them properly. My question is, If a person has their mask draped below their nose or draped below their chin does it count as technically as wearing a mask?
The wife, and toddler in the cart basket, masked up. Papa pushing the cart, no mask anywhere… Mom holding sniffling, snotty child. Neither masked. Canby freddies now I'm not sold on masks as much as some others, but they help. So i wear mine. If they help more than I think, great. But what i see out there is just ridiculous.
Ironically, that's actually a good analogy. I'd rather have someone piss near me in a pool (wearing a mask) than pissing near me outside of a pool (no mask).
I think it is wise for the NBA to be so strict. But at the same time, if we are following the science, no one who is vaccinated is getting very sick from Omicron. I get that it is early still, and yes there will be exceptions, and I may regret saying this, but we need to learn to live with this shit and not shut things down every time a new variant pops up.......unless the science proves otherwise. And so far it is saying the symptoms are mild....for those vaccinated. Sorry for those who can't get vaccinated. I went to Christmas eve dinner in Malibu at a large restaurant, the place was packed, and only the servers were wearing masks. It was more crowded than it was supposed to be because the rain forced them to close down the tent area. But no one seemed very worried. I probably should have walked out but I was looking forward to it all month. It was a 90-minute dinner inside so yes I was/am a little worried, but we can't stop living, we just need to adapt. It is not going away anytime soon.
