Your right about Harris, I always forget that last season he began to start for Dallas, but later in the season we saw Watson starting with Ridnour off the bench, and if he does play behind Watson next season also, he could be argued to be the best backup PG. But Barbosa has brought the ball down, but hes alot like a 2...hence me saying if you consider him a PG.

Off the bench, it's important to have a point guard that can try to disrupt the rythm of the opponent's guard. Brevin Knight's pressure does this very effectively. I don't get it. you called defense and scoring a necessity, then in the next sentence you say nothing is really a necessity.the point is, Brevin Knight does the job a point guard should do. He sits down and plays great defense, he distributes the ball to his teammates so they can score. And he still almost scored 10 ppg.

That's definitely important for a point guard, but I don't believe he is the best backup at the position. Barbosa takes a lot more shots and those that he takes aren't as high-percentage, but he can score at will and pretty easily at times. If you call him a point, he's the best backup there, but he's not one naturally. Calderon is pretty good, but I like Brevin Knight when he was coming off the bench. Like TTT said, he's a good defender and racks up the assists like a madman. His experience is another plus.
