    How do we know Olshey didn't "swing for the fences"? How do we know he didn't offer up everyone not named "Lillard" or "Aldridge" to try to get a third star?

    We don't.

    And thank god he didn't just cut the entire team hoping to lure a free agent who would never come.

    when you swing for the fences you strike out much more often than you hit an homerun

    and isnt there a basketball related analogy so we dont have to use the baseball term "swing for the fences"? full court heave? umm, im out.
