Dre could do for CJ and Frazier what Kaman did for Leonard.

That scouting report sounds pretty good to me. If he shoots well from outside, fine - that's not what I'm excited about, or want from my PF. I'm excited about the fact that he can dribble a basketball! That's something LMA was never any good at. Having a big who doesn't bobble the ball every time he puts it on the floor will make the game more enjoyable to watch. Combined with his "huge ass" and "left-shoulder hook shot", we might finally have a big who can score in the paint! And on the outside we have Leonard who can bomb away from 3, letting Vonleh own the paint. Leonard isn't too bad at dribbling, either! And is adept at passing the ball. There could be some really nice offense with Leonard pump-faking 3s, driving the lane, and dishing off to Vonleh for the dunk.
It's not going to happen right away, but I think Leonard/Vonleh can easily be as good or better than the LMA/Lopez combo. (Of course you should take this with a salt lick, as I haven't seen Vonleh play.)

Vonleh's bball IQ is on the same level as TRob's. He doesn't know the plays and looks lost out there from what I've read. Trying to find the tweet.

Draft express made the BBall IQ is his biggest weakness

Yup. Pretty much his "feel for the game" isn't very good. Not a natural.

    Sounds like Jermaine O'Neal?
    (That's a little two-faced of me - I never liked Jerm.)

I have to agree. Great upside but I am seriously worried we traded for TRob 2.0

Might not have the most 'natural' of basketball instincts but that is common for a big man who is 18 coming into the league. He is MUCH better than T-Rob as a shooter and in terms of having a handle.

TRob's athleticism is much better than Vonleh's. TRob could put the ball on the floor just fine.... he just couldn't finish.

There is that, but who didn't shoot the jumper better than TRob?

He played 25 games in the NBA. is almost 19 and it was his rookie season...I'd give him some room to show what his upside is. I watched film on him and he seemed way ahead of Meyers or TRob as far as instincts for a rookie

It's not like Meyers is starter material

At least on a contending team

Like I said before no team trades a lottery pick after a quarter of a season without there being a huge catch. It seems like the argument is "well its Charlotte, their mangmt sucks" well look at Trob the Kings were the worst of the worst and they seemed like they knew what they were doing dumping trob i think after like half a season.. AND HE WAS EVEN PICKED WAAAY HIGHER AT 4

Vonleh wont be here in 2 years mark my word. Im sure by Januaryish we'll see what the catch was and eventually dump him like we did with the other "potential steal we had in Trob"

True - but for all his struggles, Leonard still got to play over 1200 minutes as a rookie. Vonleh only managed 260. That is "deep in the coach's doghouse" territory. Leonard was clueless, but at least worked hard enough to earn garbage time minutes.

What's interesting is Charlotte never brought Noah in prior to the draft and didn't work him out. They selected him without actually seeing him.

Year later after basically no playing time and reports of he doesn't see the court because he doesn't know the plays and has no feel for the game, and you start to wonder if Charlotte knew they made a mistake. As of right now it looks like they sold high on Vonleh.
