So that probably means he could be had with a max. Or maybe okc won't bid against themselves. I still don't think they would match a max offer.
Because all that blather about the Thunder being ready to match a big offer is just hot air. Given their history for frugality, I really believe they are running a con...and it is in Kanter's interest to play along, as it may draw a panic offer from a team with more cap space than sense.
Are there any RFA wings that we might try to sign? Another big just doesn't make any sense, unless it's a bargain - and Kanter won't be a bargain.
Maybe we're preparing a big offer to Barton and don't want Denver to have more time to plan how to keep him.
Someone I would look at. John Jenkins http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jenkijo01.html Went to College at Vandy. Formerly of ATL but had injury issues since being in the NBA.
Also, there is a rumor that MIA will send a 2nd round pick to anyone who is willing to trade cap room for Mario Chalmers. He makes 4.3 MIL this year but the last year of his deal so we wouldn't lose cap space next summer. Sounds almost like a no-brainer right?
