Definitely have a shot of winning a playoff series, maybe even two, and having Roy/Rudy/Batum rotate off of the bunch in will be fun to watch. The primary problem is that either LMA or Camby will need to be on the court at all times, IMO, with Marks getting minutes only in small spurts.
The key to advancing in the playoffs, is matchups for this team. We have given San Antonio and Dallas both problems this year. I have no idea where we will need to be in order to match up with them at this point, but I would like to avoid LA and OKC due to the amount of bullshit the refs will throw our way, and their leading scorers are more capable of destroying a whole team on their own.
so you think playoffs are luck? no way. suns are coming strong... grizz are better.... and nuggets can score lights out
Miller/Mills Wes/Rudy/Roy Crash/Nico/Roy LMA/Crash Camby/Marks I love getting Crash and I love that we didn't get rid of Miller. How do we split minutes between Wes, Nico, Crash, Rudy and Roy? Who's the backup PF when Crash gets injured? Looks like we need to pick up a big body of waivers, even with Marks.
I agree. If Camby stays healthy then we are fine up front. Wallace and Batum can play some 4 against most teams and Sean can bang for a few minutes against a few teams. My biggest concern is the back up 1 spot. I think Patty is a better option than Rudy and I am sure Nate will use him against better pressing pG's than what the Lakers have. That means Rudy goes to the 3. Persoanlly i think Wallace will be a better option than Batum with the second unit. So Wallace might have to come out early and come back in with the second unit.
Miller (35) / Roy (13) Matthews (33) / Fernandez (15) Wallace (7) / Batum (32) / Roy (9) Aldridge (20) / Wallace (28) Camby (33) / Aldridge (15) That's for close, important games. Garbage time would involve more players.
I think Charlotte will buy out Przy, and Portland will sign him back in 30 days for 8-10 minutes/game.
*nod* Plausible. If that happens, I'd carve out a different depth chart to include him. But I actually like that as a tight 9 man rotation in the playoffs. Przybilla playing some minutes in the regular season, though, would be a good idea to keep players a bit fresher.
That's how I hope it breaks down, too. I like the idea of Roy/Rudy back court coming in off the bench. Neither is a real PG, but between the two of them there's enough ball handling and scoring to carry that squad. If the opponent pressures one of them while bringing it up the court, they just give it up to the other.
I completely agree. It then comes down to who do you want trying to defend Perkins, or Bynum, or Duncan in the playoffs if Camby/LMA get into foul trouble. Marks or Przy. I know my answer.
im sorry but i just dont see us finishing with a better record then denver, grizz, suns or maybe jazz
