Simons was a monster at summer league and didn't play college ball. I don't know if the expectation is that Sharpe looks amazing but I wouldn't be surprised if he does.
I just realized i will be in Vegas from the 8-10th. I have never attempted to go to summer league. I haven't a clue about how to get tickets etc. I think I am going to drag the wife along and catch that NO game on Saturday ifi can figure out the logistics and what not. . Any insights or advice? Thanks!!
It's all general admission. Seating is first come - first serve. I believe tickets are ~$50/ea for all day. I'd buy tickets at the door. You may save ~$2-3 by doing it online, but that's not a big deal. Both courts are in the same building & you can walk between the two. If the game is on the Thomas/Mack court - that's the UNLV main stadium & there is plenty of seating. If its the other aauxiliary court - seating can be hard to find (depending upon what team is playing)
I somehow remember a summer league team we had once that we all thought would dominate and they didn't at all. Can't remember when though.......
Take your pick. We have done that a lot. The hard part about predicting SL is that is we have no clue on who is on the other teams.
It’s fun. Cheap tickets. You get in for a whole day of games and you can sit wherever you want. You’ll be mingling with coaches, GMs, Scouts, Players, and media members like Woj. It is a blast. You’ll see players in the casinos too if you’re into that. It’s like All Star weekend but cheaper and more fun.
Summer League is a blast. You gotta be careful though. You never know who you’re gonna run into in the stands. 2018 -
That ugly dude on the left is me. My son on the right. We've been going to these summer league games in Vegas for years. Love 'em. Great access to players. Here's a pic from 2021. Met this famous dude at the Portland Airport. ( @THE HCP ) Gary Trent Sr. in 2019 - Jake Layman in 2017 - I'm looking forward to checking out the new guys this year. Shaedon Sharpe is a total mystery, so it'll be nice to see him compete at a higher level. And I'm excited about Jabari Walker too. Only two more weeks until Summer League starts!
Nice! I want to go, but won’t be able to this year, I am starting a new job in July. Looks like a lot of fun, and I hope can go next year and bring my daughter. Looks like a fun bonding experience with the kiddo!
