<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Rok @ May 13 2007, 06:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Trying to keep the Mavs board somewhat alive, I'll update with an interview by Donnie Nelson that might give insight on what we look for in the offseason. He mentioned a playmaker specifically at pg or sf. Other boards have said he really zoned in on sf. Also, mentioned a possible low post presence, both to help keep pressure off Dirk. Who he said they will not force and let the offense come to him. Some free agents who fit the playmaker bill at sf are Luke Walton and Grant Hill. David Lord mentioned our perfect offseason would be Grant Hill and Chris Webber. I think we could land one of the two but also think both could be unlikely.Playmakers at pg in the free agency besides Steve Blake aren't appealing. So I see why we might look for a playmaker at another position, especially considering we have Terry and Harris already.I wouldn't mind Walton and/or Mason and landing Corliss Williamson with the vet.</div>That is what I would like to see. I think that we should keep Ager and Pops. I think they will devel. a lot.

This team just needs to keep the players that they have, and maybe get a center that can post up a little better. They have a good defensive minded center in Diop, and Dampier had a decent year, but they need to get a big man that can play with his back to the basket...Once they can do that, they will be alot more versatile and not a terrible matchup for a team like GS.

Yeah I think a power forward is more likely. Also having a power forward at center makes it easier to go out to guard players like Harrington and Stephen Jackson. Also you need quickness against Amare.
