Yes we were, but I wasn't try to make a point about how he was going to raise them, just that he was going to raise them.
completely, no. I didn't see them directly called socialists. As far as I know, socialism is when government sponsors financial programs. I do believe nobody doubts the USA has aspects of socialism (post office). So, what is your point? Obama has ties to a party that seems socialist? The French President is a member of the socialist party and calls himself a socialist.
Um, the point was that Obama was a part of a socialist movement. You asked the question, and I answered it, yet you continue to ask the question of other posters? Did you want an answer, or were you being rhetorical?
Oh, got it. Clearly Obama has socialistic roots, at least in terms of his political career. Nothing wrong with that, just not my thing.
He's barely paying attention to you because the thread is about France and Europe, not you and Obama.
His 8-word post, probably a trivial diversion to him while he was busy washing his socks, provoked you into a series of posts that hijacked the thread. He's probably done hanging his socks outside on the clothesline, so you may now resume.
France is now 10% Muslim. The country feels that it owes Algeria like Germany feels it owes Israel, so they even lessen prison sentences for Algerian immigrants who get convicted of something.
Not a very good definition of socialism. You describe something closer to fascism. It's not about government sponsoring anything, it's about common ownership of the means of production. Ownership being the key word.
