They may need one of those classic shoot wide on purpose, get the big bounce off the boards and score type of PP goals.

Amazing how quickly this team balances out during the season. Injuries are a killer. There is no
over compensation with this team. Third & fourth lines need to cash in.

0-4 on the PP is the difference right now.

If Halak played every team like he does the Rangers the Islanders would be unbeatable.

Why no Grabner? Like I said in the Hank thread, haven't been able to follow closely lately due to family issues. This team has just had a HUGE bite from the injury bug. Be interesting to see Nash's injury and how long he'll be out for. They're gonna struggle with this lineup to stay above water if Nash is hurt and with no Z or Buch or Grabner.

Grabner had to go back to Austria for a family thing.

Lots of blame to go around tonight, but I am going to vent about one guy specifically.

Brandon fucking Pirri, the ONLY reason you have a job with this team is because of your shot. You are absolutely USELESS otherwise. If you want to pass up one timers on a god damn 6 on 3 you can take your laughable 22 goal 2 assist season 2 years ago and get the fuck off my team.

Missed the net badly on the shots he did actually take.

LOL...prod, see my post above. With all the injuries, this guy has a chance to prove something with all this icetime. Instead he blows. I have a hunch he will be gone when they get healthy.

Seriously, take the damn shot Pirri. Does it not enter his head the team is down two goals and time is running out?

Looks like Nash tweaked his groin. Puempel a possible concussion.

Dont care about puempel. He is garbage. Hrivik can take his place. Not having nash sucks especially now when he is actually playing well. Groin injuries are so annoying and can be long term.

Puempel isnt a big loss as far as the on-ice team goes but I do wish him a speedy recovery as concussions can be life-altering, even if the effects only last for a few days. Probably the most frustrating injury possible for athlete.

The Nash injury is scary if it's a groin. If the pattern holds true, he will come back half-speed, disappear in the playoffs, then we'll find out on break up day it was nagging him all year and he's going to "rest and train" in the offseason and come into camp in "great shape". Hope we dont hear that story again.

Yup, it's like hearing about a hamstring injury. Usually a couple of weeks and if you come back too soon it's easy to hurt it again. Very annoying.

Outside of getting healthy and HL being better they are going to have to get another offensive dman somehow.

Pirri has always been a streaky player wherever he has been.
