Man, that's a stupid story, and a really lame attempt to smear someone. I'd bet money Locke fucked up the exact wording of whatever Bayless may or may not have said. I agree with those who opine that what Bayless was most likely saying was: if the team didn't play well it means that he as the point guard did not play well (regardless of personal stats).

But then again, I'm sure I know as little about it as Locke, so what the hell do I know?

Except no poster was questioning the credibility of the story.

    Only its relevance and meaning.

Count me in that group that fails to understand how this attempted trashing of Bayless and/or the Blazers hit the bullseye - or even the target at all. Much ado about very little.

David Locke can be annoying and an ass at times about the Blazers. A huge Jazz homer.

But his show is excellent for NBA junkies. I often disagree with him but compared to Canzano the guy is a NBA genius. But I guess that is not saying much.

I sure hope so, considering he is employed by the Jazz and is their play-by-play voice.

He has only been their play by play guy for one year. Before that he was like most other radio guys, moving from one city to the next. But he has known more about the NBA than Canzano has for...................well everyone knows more than Canzano.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
You would hope that a "play-by-play voice" thoroughly out-classed a supposed sports journalist in terms of NBA knowledge? I would hope that the guy employed to analyze sports (and especially the NBA, since that's the lone major professional sports league represented in his area) for his articles knew more.
