<div class="quote_poster">Quoting dj_premium_plus:</div><div class="quote_post">i still think that its yet to be seen whether or not he actually is injury prone. what im tryin to say, is what if he finnishes out this season, and all of next year without missing any significant time? do you think after two years of consistant play, people will still be calling him "injury prone" or would you say after that, that hes gotten past his injuries?

i for one am gonna wait out this season before i stick that label on him for the rest of his career. remember...this is only his 6th year in the L. 2 or more seasons of injury free play, and the 2 years he was out of action lots will be long forgotten </div>

He simply needs to explode and play all out, not to expire himself but at least play with less fear and more daring. It's not that he's not exciting or not playing well, but that he can be better. As for being injury prone, I think he's responded well to injuries, especially the one that took him out for such a long time. But like Camby if he gets hit by these too much he'll be out for the count.

I think sometimes Vince is overrated and underrated at the same time (I know its contradicting). Sometimes Vince doesn't deserve the credit he gets but people also don't give Vince enough credit.

Vince still doesn't play as well as everyone expects him to play and that is his fault to a point. He doesn't drive, takes bad shots and doesn't have that agression he used to have.

But.....the statistics don't lie. Sure Vince is still not in the 20 5 and 5 club but he is damn close. Sure he has turnovers, some people on that list have a high turnover rate as well. But the stats do not lie, and anyone who watches the games knows that he is the franchise hands down.

Its a two sided coin when it comes to Vince. I agree with some of the negative things people say about him (I say them myself) But I also feel that people hate on him too much because of the high expectations, bad press and over some over zealous Raptors fans.

I still hold on the the fact that he is a top 10-15 player in the NBA and he will improve.

Realistically I find people expect him to perform better than McGrady or AI or Kobe, and when he does, they just say he's doin ok. If he's not overperforming, they say he's not that great. I find people put him on a higher pedestal when it comes to judging him, yet no one really says he's great like Kobe or T-Mac, but they expect him to put numbers up like them and do amazing plays every game, but for doing that they say he is not as good as them. He can do alot more than Iverson or McGrady in a game, yet they praise him less than those two. If McGrady underperforms or AI, the fans just wont say anything about them in the season... but if Carter underperforms, the fans go out of their way to rip and criticize him. I also notice T-Mac gets more respect than Carter even though their team is last place as well. I'm sure no matter how bad t-mac controls his team they will say he is still better than Carter. When it comes down to it, though, Vince is really good for his clutch. He will not score for the 2nd and 3rd quarter, then he comes alive in the fourth scoring perimeter and down-low. And hes good at taking last possession 3point shots when we are down even if he had a bad shooting percentage the entire game, thats what I most respect him for. He has tons of clutch, not many players in the league has that. If there was a clutch statistic like points, no doubt VC would be in the top 20. T-Mac is really good for his consistency, like a Donyell Marshall type player, but he's not the person to give the ball in the 4th quarter. Vince is
