I'd be fine being a 3rd team in a deal that doesn't net us Asik. We definitely have needs to address.

Could you imagine if Aldridge had 4 players he could pass to for a wide open tre? Also, dame would have a field day if Hawes would bring out the other team's bigs in the paint.

I'm still not sold on Hawes being the best player on Philly that I'd like to snag from them. Evan Turner is really, really interesting IMO. Obviously he plays with the ball in his hands and that is a bit of a conundrum, but he could provide a real punch off of the bench, but we obviously have CJ waiting in the wings as well. I think we are dying for scoring off of the bench.

Thats pretty much the set up the Rockets are trying to follow, with Dwight in the paint and shooters all around him.

It is an interesting idea. I just don't think the defensive part of it will be sustainable in a playoff run. Teams would be forced to single cover Aldridge or take chances with our 4 3pt shooters. Would be fun to watch.

Hawes can definitely be that scorer off the bench. He can net them in a hurry, especially when teams would much rather focus on Lillard and Aldridge.

Also, CJ would be a Godsend as well. CJ could easily net +10, Hawes 8-10, which puts our team with a +30 off the bench. That's perfect!

Yes, about half an hour ago. Olshey said that Houston wanted Lopez and T-Rob back but Allen said very clearly that he is not trading Lopez.

    Because Hawes is better . . .

If you can trade lesser players for better ones, you do it.

For Turner I'd put CJ on the block ... assuming Philly would be interested.

I love the idea of Hawes in a 3-way, but cannot understand why Houston wouldn't just keep him. Seems like he would look pretty good next to Howard.

Another thing many people may not think about, Asik just switched to a new agent. His new agent is the same agent for Aldridge AND Lopez and according to Olshey at the Lopez press conference, he was instrumental in getting Lopez to Portland

One good night doesn't mean he's having a great year or is likely to become an indispensable player. Overall, Freeland has been "fiesty" but pretty mediocre this year.

Yeah. If Hawes is on the move He'd be just the kind of floor spacing big man that Morey would want next to D12.

Freeland we.t from scrub to dependable beast in 1 summer. He's improving every night and not making major mistakes. We still have 50some games to play, he can easily improve as he's shown. His ceiling is too high right now. I'm tired of everyone playing NBA2k14 fantasy trades. Our gm is the shit and he will do what is right, our fans don't need to send bad vibes to guys who are earning their keep.

Speaking of wild cards . . . . how would Lamar Odom fit into the Blazer chemistry lab?

So if he did make that trade, would you still think he's the "shit"?
