What the fuck is Gilbert doing to his team? How did Griffin fuck that situation up? He made that team as good as it could be this year! What a Dolan-esque moron!

    Close you eyes
    Clear your mind
    Concentrate

Do all these things and you will begin to hear Neil's voice in your mind.
He will talk about how unrealistic it is for us to get Butler at this point in time and how close we are to actually developing Pat Connaughton into at 100 million dollars player.

Woj suggested something about teams not engaging Cleveland as much in trade talks because of their uncertainty in the front office.

That reminds me I saw Chris Bosh and his wife last week at a fitness club in West LA. They were getting the tour. l knew he lived close by during the summers. I wonder if the wives are still good friends. Apparently Chris is still holding out hope for a return to the NBA........

I agree, not a chance Phoenix is moving Booker.

Seems like a good time to call them to me. Take advantage of the situation. Assuming they answer the phone.

The lack of talent in the league combined with this unrelenting desire to acquire players any way possible makes fans and (even some execs) desperate. In fact, I don't think oxygen reaches peoples' brains when they consider half the rumors out there.

    That's actually no that rare.
Off the top of my head: both Curry and CJ were born in Ohio.

Why don't we trade for him? I'd give up all 3 picks and Crabbe as a starting offer.

I know it's blasphemy to even suggest such a thing, but wouldn't you say that if we get Butler and then trade Lillard for John Wall then we'd become better equipped to handle Warriors?

No. Our outside shooting would be shit.

So losing Dame alone will ruin our outside shooting?
It should be taken into consideration that we would also lose some of Lillard's ill-advised shots in the process.

Wall and Butler would be our backcourt. Neither are great shooters.

The Celtics are clearly in the mix to get Butler, too. They've been after him since at least last trade deadline.

Considering we only have three good shooters, yes.

Crowder + #3 this year + Smart could be tempting for Chicago. Crowder + #3 + future Lakers/Kings pick should almost certainly get this done. Hell, even Crowder + #3 is something Chicago should consider at this point and go for a rebuild.

I still think Butler, not George, is the guy we should be going after. Maybe not as good a fit because he is a guard, but the contract situation and I also think he will blend in better, he deferred a lot to Wade (too much?) and George seems to really want to be "the man".

From what I've read, the Crowder (or someone like him) + #3 + future Lakers pick is what's being considered.
