<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ANiMuS:</div><div class="quote_post">Well first, Sam Cassell is the best clutch player on that team so it's understandable for KG to take a step back offensively in the waning moments of a close game (although he has hit both a walk-off gamewinner and two 3's in 10 seconds to send the Kings game to OT, where Minnesota won). Also, just because the Wolves haven't gotten out of the 1st round in the past doesn't mean they're going to lose to Denver and Memphis.</div> True very True..BUT..What about if they get houston?..Houston is a tough team..That would be very hard for KG to matcup with Yao..They won against them...But they also lost pretty bad earlier this season...Yao Ming dominated garnett in the second matchup....That would be very testing the the wolves..But we shall just wait and see!
The Wolves have ALREADY proven that they are drastically improved from last season. Cassel made his first all-star appearence and is playing like an all-star. Spreewell is an added bonus, the guy could go for 30 on any given night and all three create match up problems. I don't think they will have too hard of a time getting out of the first round, especially if they maintain their number 2 seed.
Just as Allnet said , as long as TD is there , Spurs will always have a shot at winning it all , is just that a lot of people (including me) think that Spurs can't make it through the Kings , Wolves or Healthy Lakers. That's just our way of thinking , me myself I think the Wolves will win it all but Kings are just so damn good and the Lakers at 100% are unstopable specially in playoff time.
Like a lot of people said already. If the Spurs have TD they will always have a chance of winning the championship. But since last season the Kings,Twolves and Lakers have all improved their rosters. And some people think that the Spurs haven't improved their roster as much as the others. So they think they wouldn't have a big chance of winning against them.I personnaly think that the Lakers,Kings and Wolves have a higher possibility of winning it all.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Timmy-MVP-21:</div><div class="quote_post">Forget shaq..He isnt dominant...He is just weighty..Just bowls people over with his fat...</div>Oh my god, have you ever watched a basketball game? I seriously doubt it. I agree that Tim Duncan is unstoppable, but saying Shaq is not dominant is, as Sir Charles would say, just plum damn goofy.
Shaq can still dominate teams but not as much as he used to, Tim Duncan dominates teams every game. Looking at the seedings right now I reckon It's very possible Spurs make the conference finals, Wolves have nice talent but for some reason I don't see them beating S.A in a best of 7 series. I don't know why but I have a feeling it will be another Spurs/Lakers match-up again even though I feel Kings have the most talent and should make the WCF. Who knows what they will do when they match-up against L.A in round two, which will likely happen if Lakers get the 4th seed.
We are not out of it> If everyone continues to play at this level when tim returns we will be unstoppable because other teams will be afriad to double team because of our outside weapons.
I'm a Spurs fan, but Raptors fan foremost and I like TD and always have, he's the hard-no- BS silent type and I'm glad they got rid of the Lakers last year. This year I hope for the same though I can't stand Bowen. Oh, and Shaq is downright dominant on anybody. I just wished the refs weren't whistle happy whenever he is in the paint. They seem to blow the whistle every freakin time he goes for a layup/dunk etc. Man come off of it.
But shaq does throw his weight around and do stuff that he knows he can't do like..I downloaded a recent kobe clip against the warriors and kobe is fouled there is no call then kobe get's the ball back and shaq holds everyone out of the key so kobe can dunk...Which isn't fair but oh well!
