The only good thing I can say about LA, is he a lot better than the other top 10 pics in his draft class (except for Roy). Jesus, what a horrendous draft class!
Yes, in theory, but as long as they keep adding "younger" pieces to their core, they will continue to be successful. Kawhi Leonard will still only be 24 next year AFTER the NBA finals are over. I think people forget how young he is. And, in this case "younger" is relative. Compared to Duncan, Parker and Ginobili, Aldridge is actually young blood. BNM
It does make you wonder if Lamarcus without Lopez is not very good. When Robin showed up, LMA's game improved dramatically. Maybe that was just temporary.
Yeah but ESPN and tnt guys will suck him off as usual. You know "just wait for the playoffs" type shit.
Yeah, no kidding - better at all aspects of the game, offense, defense, passing, scoring, and even at 50 years old, more mobile. I can't imagine Aldridge's game suffering by playing next to Tim Duncan. BNM
LA looked like a guy who left 30 mil on the table and a legacy to play for a coach who didn't show up for his first game
Because preseason highlights matter! So, maybe we should start Connaughton at PF in the preseason finals, like Note Dame did against Kentucky in the NCAA tournament. BNM
Yeah but how often will he be playing with Duncan? Tim probably will only play 20mpg and sit out a third of the season. They don't have a Joel Freeland or Kaman to help him bang with centers. I'm skeptical of him and David West as a defensive big man tandem. I think analysts are really underestimating how much effort we put into building the roster around LMA. It'll be interesting to watch. If the Spurs have another year where they coast in the regular season, don't get HCA and lose in the first round there will be a lot of LaMarcus skeptics and rightly so. With the Clippers, Warriors, Thunder, Rockets I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Spurs have that happen.
