oh, nice to meet you too.

yes, because bringing in doctors claiming that somebody had a "season ending injury" just to try to salvage cap space, then threatening to sue other teams if they signed him, then he is signed and is CLEARLY still able to play, is the same as resting your starters for one game on a back to back after an OT game across the country.

thanks. we have a whole website. (spurstalk.com, shameless plug) full of us.

Sweet, a new troll, and he's even more ignorant about the Miles situation than are our normal trolls. :sigh:

Welcome to the board, but it wasn't exactly a positive first impression.

Are they all as ignorant as you are regarding how Darius Miles ended up being retired?

Do they know about this site?

Just think how much fun they would have with us Blazer fans . . . hard to argue with a spurs fan when they can always point to scoreboard.

BTW-yes Pop can do what he wants, and most people here give the spurs and pop their due respect (again hard not to with their success) . . . but that was chickenshit last night and I hope it comes back to bite them . . . have I said welcome aboard yet?

The League and Players union appointed doctor(s) that i'm sure Miles and his agent agreed to. Its not like the Blazers said he wasn't good enough to ever play again and submitted paperwork to the NBA trying to lie and hide it. They investigated for themselves and the Doc said that if he plays he has a good chance of having to have a knee replacement in the future and that it was the worst knee he has ever seen.

And the email didn't say stay away from Miles at all, the letter said (in summary): "If you want to sign Miles to help your team, go right ahead... if you have no interest in him and are signing him to only affect the Blazers cap space, we have a problem with that".

Hope this helps your view of the situation.

of course when was the last time the spurs played the 2nd half of a back to back in denver after the first game went to overtime in a season in which parker and manu have already dealt with injuries(and manu is currently dealing with one) and in which duncan has been forced to carry the load more than he normally has in recent years?

Wahhh. They are NBA players, making millions of dollars playing a game. We should all have such problems.

I'll add that Darius had to sign paperwork in order to "retire", meaning that he didn't dispute the findings of the league and union appointed doctor regarding his knee.

Yup, the Spurs are totally banishing Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili. Locking them away just to save their cap room, never to be seen again. You are so right.

    Awww thank you.

Hey, you don't get it. Duncan and Parker were tired, like physically . . . tired, and Manu had a hang nail.

    I'm surprised Pop didn't call 9-1-1.

he asked for someone to show him when this happened in the past, i simply asked him to show when these same circumstances came about in the past.

you're the one whining about this situation and if it's somehow unfair.

    I is a troll, I don't have pro-Blazers opinion. :(

Do you think before you post? What else would you like me to say in response to a ridiculous conspiracy theory?

What he was responding to was the general statement that teams can do whatever they want with their players . . . apparently not true.

How about nothing? Your childish response in post #5 wasn't at all necessary, and you never responded to Chris's post about the Lakers being fined for sitting Shaq and Kobe for no good reason.

If I don't have the pro-Blazers opinion, post nothing? Okay.

Childish conspiracy theories deserve childish responses.
