I do not believe they are the best team in the leauge anymore after seeing tonights crumble by them...I agree Allnet, they are lacking Mental Toughness...that was the first time I have ever seen McGrady clutch, but right now I have to think that Sonics are better than them and arguably the Suns...but the Spurs were late bloomers last year, I believe that will happen this year also.
I don't think you can judge the team by the past two games, though I agree these were significant errors on the part of the Spurs which CANNOT continue to happen. Every team will have a bad night, Spurs flat out died at the last minute...well, not really. They were just dragging and sloppy the whole game. I think the title "best team" needs to be clarified. The records and scores state for themselves that the Sonics and Suns are the top two teams. And no one can really argue against that. The sonics and suns are really hot now, without a doubt.
The spurs have always kind of been mentally weak in one way or another (imo)....don't get me wrong they're a great team and I think they've got a great chance of going all the way, but they can appear sort of soft sometimes
Yes the Spurs are the best team in the L. The only thing is, is that the Spurs need to know how to play. Of course they have the best D-fence and the best player in the L but if they don't know how to use that then there's no advantage. The Spurs are doing good but the team to beat is Seattle. But I don't think that they will do good in the playoffs. So the Spurs are going to win the finals this year.
