Completely agree. The refs did as much as they could to give the game to Stanford on that final drive. I don’t understand the targeting call given that there was an equally similar flag on Stanford that was picked up earlier. I thought both calls were iffy anyway, but they should be called consistently. I could see the RTP penalty cuz of the placement of the awkward “chop” but even then, the officiating is going overboard on RTP’s these days. It should VERY rarely be called if the QB is not on the ground.
how do you gauge heart and pride from a TV screen? Sounds like a overworked slogan both teams are 4-1, and Oregon owns 2 of the 3 best non-conference wins the Pac-12 has posted so far the Ducks are just slammed with injuries right now, especially on defense. It's a MASH unit RB: Verdell RB: Dollars WR: Delgado TE: McCormick TE: Herbert OL: Forsyth OL: Denis OL: Sagapolu OL: Walden DL: Swinson DL: Alfaese LB: Mathis LB: Flowe LB: Jackson LB: LaDuke S: Williams 7 missing starters and 11 in the 2-deep; and Thibodeaux has only played a couple of games
Nah - I just like good, entertaining football. (and on any given weekend I am rooting for both Oregon teams to win) For quite awhile now the Ducks have been putting a superior product on the field. This season the Beavers have improved and (IMHO) are more fun to watch. YMMV
That is what killed the USC dynasty. They continued to have some of the best recruiting classes in the country. They had great athletes but they didn't have enough dogs. Their athletes played like winning at USC was a given. It wasn't. I'm not judging the Ducks like that. But I will say the Beavers are all dog, like their coach. And it shows.
