Even when he's relatively open he hesitates. The only time he shoots is when there's no one within 5 feet of him. I'll give him credit for his passing but still think he hesitates there as well and never attempts any real difficult passes that plumlee does, even though he has the skills to do it. If you want to call that smart, go ahead. I'll continue to call it timid.

Did you not see his touch passes against the Kings?

Yes. Apparently he dispenses his wisdom on the bench and in timeouts too. I've wondered if it annoys his teammates, or if they listen or just roll their eyes. OTOH: It's been stated in the past he studies hard an really knows the offense. Maybe too this is part of him over thinking on the court instead of reacting and flowing with the game. :dunno:

Yeah sometimes I yell at him: "Shoot it why didn't you shoot it just shoot it!" Then he passes off leading to a better shot and I feel foolish. ;)

It's probably just my imagination, but it always seems like Nurk starts nearly every game just a little too amped, and then settles down after a couple minutes. Similarly, the Grizz will almost undoubtedly go right to Gasol the first few possessions, just like last time we played them. As we saw before, that's a perfect recipe for early foul trouble.

Now I want Nurk to play 30+ minutes against the Grizz, and it won't happen if Gasol punks him like he did last time. So prevent it ahead of time: reward Meyers for his play against the Kings and start him against Memphis. Let him pick up the early fouls, and let Nurk come in after a little of the pregame adrenaline has worn off.

It's an insane premise, and it won't happen, but what the hell?

I get you, but I didn't think this silly notion of mine deserved a new thread. I believe that all thoughts of starting Leonard should be confined to one place, zombie or no.
