well, not to shoot this all to shit, but apparently meyers is shooting .258 from 3 as a starter and .364 off the bench. leave him there. Outside of some decent size and streaky 3 shooting, he has next to no core essentials needed at the PF/C spot. He's weak at rebounding, defensive awareness, & blocks.
Yeah, well I would put the man at the high post, put to motion and plays in the offense, take the ball out of the hands of these gunner guards and play ball. This shit ain't going anywhere no matter who you add.
haha yea, good point. I'll admit my sense of humor can be a bit offensive to some people, but come on, we're just having some fun here.
That's because he had no feeling in his hand at the start of the year. If you started him now, he'd be fine.
If he starts last night, we wouldn't have spotted GS a lead. Vonleh was a -15 last night. Leonard was a +4. This wasn't just last night. Night after night, we're better with him on the floor.
Um we started the game 0 for 10. We score better when Meyers is on the floor. Yes Klay would've still gone nuts but we would've kept it close.
Your delusion knows no bounds. He was +4 in 17 minutes. You double that (34) minutes, we're +8. So, we would have lost by 16! Hot damn! We only suck just a LITTLE less last night. Besides, maybe he was -15 in the first 10 minutes. How the hell do you know WHEN that +4 came? Unless they split it by seconds, you don't know. But that's what you tend to do, so it doesn't surprise me.
wow speedy, you're high as shit on Meyers lol. he played ok in ltd time against their 2nd unit. he would have had ZERO vs. their starting unit - 'magine, Meyers Leonard - the KEY to stopping the Warriors. Just say it out loud..... lmao. exactly. this forum just gets weirder n weirder
The fact remains that Myers was 1 for 1 in swish3s. If he made his average 40+ percent of swish3s taking open shots, there might have been some early 1st quarter offense instead of the debacle start that happened. Myers should be shooting much more when he is hot. Defensively, I see the advantage of long arms of the 7' 1" Myers causing misses of FG by talented opponents when his arms high cause them to change trajectory (and nearly always miss). His footwork may be slower than Noah, but when he stays with his man he seems effective. Myers has played some excellent games. Don't you see that he is improving? There is a big problem when the Blazers can't find a way to score for the opening 8 min of the game. No strong opponent is going to fail to take a large lead when Blazers are not adding 2 points per minute. Why can't we focus on getting a higher percentage of favorite shots for the Blazers who can make swish3s? If the swish3s are coming at over 40%, why shouldn't the Blazers try using more of them? In my opinion, we should try starting Myers and looking to establish early leads through passing that creates open shots that he facilitates. If the Blazers can have some more games like the Nuggets and Kings, and improve on teamwork, it may solve these scoring voids.
