This is bull. I am fine with Glen Robinson getting demoted since he has no will on defense. But demoting Dalembert was uncalled for. He will be one of the best defensive forces this year, and has continued to evolve as an offensive player. He is the guy who is gonna put up 11 points, 11 boards, and 3 blocks a game. When on the other side of the spectrum you have Jackson, who will put up 9 points, 8 boards, and 1 block. I just hope Jim O'Brien doesn't become one of the Eastern Conference coaching statistics-without a job-with this move.
i do, and I didn't even realize it. I''ll try to ship him to someone who doesn't know he won't be starting.
Marc Jackson will provide more offense at the 5 in the starting lineup. Jackson is a very good bigbody when healthy, he has nice touch in the mid-range area. And can score the ball with his back to the basket down low. I guess that Jim O'brein hasnt been impressed with Sammy D on the offesive end, so he decided to change offense for Defense in the starting lineup. I think that Marc Jackson's ablity to shoot the ball in the mid-range area will help free up Allen Iverson in pick & roll situations cause teams wont be able to double AI as much when the bigman comes high to set the pick like they would be if Dalembert was in the game. But this domtion doesnt mean much cause at the end of the day, Dalembert defense. And his ablity to block & change shots on the weakside, will be a big key to any success the 76ers may have. On a side note, the 76ers better have Big Dog on the next thing movin out of Philly cause its only a matter of time before he becomes a serious team cancer after getting his spot ran by the rook.

But I do agree he might get mad about not starting, this is a guy who has started almost his whole career so who knows how he will react.I am pretty sure if he stays most of the season coming off the bench he will look to go elsewhere as a free agent.
For those of you who watch the Philly preseason games...can one of you tell me how Dalembert reacted to this tonight? Because I noticed he had 6 fouls in 18 minutes, and his stats were nearly empty, with the exception of I believe 4 boards. Is he just giving up, frustrated, or what? It's terrible how he's been pushed onto the bench...
sammy d's preseason hasnt been pretty so far, i think like 4 or 3 rebounds totla for the last 2 games?marc jackson definitely is the "better" player rite now, he is a good offensive rebounder, and able to put up 12 and 9
