Compared to other basketball players. Youre taking this way too literally.

I'm taking it exactly as you are saying it. Now it might be more realistic if you said, he has limited lateral quickness or is slow moving laterally, but I can't read your mind as to what you mean as I can only read what you write. I'll use a baseball example for you. Player A is lightning quick, but gets horrible jumps when stealing and often gets thrown out. Player B has average speed but is great at reading the pitcher and gets excellent jumps and is a very successful base stealer even though player A can easily beat player B in a 50 yard sprint. Quickness is a nice strength to have as sometimes it can make up for other deficiencies, but there are many other factors as well.

Nobody can be as quick as lightning, it's phisically impossible.

Pardon me if you meant something else, but I'm taking it exactly as you said it. I can't read your mind as to what you mean as I can only read what you write.

I'd much rather you do your normal shtick than become a semantics warrior who can't figure out context on his own.

Electrons are physical, and lightning is made up of electrons. So it is physically possible to be quick as lightning. Which is roughly 1/3rd the speed of light, depending on conditions. Now if anyone is “literally” that quick, no probably not now, not ever, but it is within the laws of physics for physical objects to move that fast.

Though this is all completely irrelevant and way too literal to the overall point that was being made, because someone else was taking something literally.

Point is what you meant was obvious. It's also obvious that Bones thinks Pau lateral quickness is very limited, and not that he expect him to literally not be able to take one step. Otherwise he would be on a basketball court, he would be in a wheelchair (I guess he could play wheelchair basketball)

I showed you what the definition for lightning quick is and you and bonesy seem to be in a tizzy over this so let's just end this now.

    Ohhhh personal insults! lol. :).

I just wanted to get in on being needlessly literal since it seemed to be a trend!

One thing your missing: Humans are more than electrons and that additional mass isn't possibly moved at the speed of lightning.

Says the dude that just ranted over semantics because he couldn't possibly understand that the context behind the word "zero" might not literally mean "zero". You're arguing literality while using a figure of speech. Ironic.

What y'all fail to acknowledge is that Lightening is an old guy who plays a banjo outside a juke joint in Mississippi for tips...it's too damned hot for lateral quickness even if he has it!

Im not missing that, because lightning does not move at the speed of light either, I said its about 1/3rd the speed of light. Im fairly sure a human on there own accord could not move that fast, but it still seems reasonable that a humans mass in the great scheme of things does not hinder them from moving that fast, but Id have to do some research theres some big freaking things out there moving really fast.

Anyways, I was just messing around because of all the things being taken literally.

In terms of Gasol, I think he can play PF on rare occasions vs bigger teams maybe but he’s definitely been a center the last few years and he’s not even a fast or quick center. I love how smart he is though.
