He gets doubled a ton--in fact, it's the reason for their staple offensive dynamic: Steph gets doubled above the three point line, he passes to Green who then initiates a 4-on-3 by attacking the lane and, if anyone rotates over to help, finding the open shooter. Curry also shoots an absurd amount of contested shots and makes them at a ridiculous rate.
2 tech's missed and a regular, plus 6 more by our other guys... I hear ya.... ya gotta make your free throws.
You can't argue with Schonely's decree to make your free throws . . . but you can't just point to a singular free throw as the difference in the game. It's the whole fabric of time business; change one of those missed free throws into a make and it changes everything else after that point. Klay/Dray/Steph (or even Mo Buckets Speights for fuck's sake) makes a 3 instead of a 2 on the next possession and it negates the extra made free throw. For all we know, changing one free throw on our side sets off a whole series of events that results in a huge run by GSW that has them winning by 20 in regulation??? Hell, getting Livingston tossed from the game (which sure looked like a positive at the time) resulted in Curry having a historic OT which may not have happened had Livingston played his regular minutes last night.
Curry (because he is seen as mostly humble and a very nice guy off the court) can get away with saying I'M back (after he hit some daggers) and pointing to his wrist (To say you are out of time!) whereas Draymond or even LeBron would get roasted for it and their reputation would go even further in the shitter.
Considering I haven't seen that... I mean, Steph isn't a bad guy, I think. Klay or Draymond just are. They rub me the wrong way (and continually confirm it every time they talk). Steph is cocky, not arrogant. And if Dame can do the "What time is it?" wrist tap, then it'd be hypocritical to say it's wrong for Steph to do something similar. Thanks, btw!
I laughed out loud when they showed that show... I was like, "I know Paul... I know... It ain't right"
I dont have a problem witb it in a sense i think they shouldnt be able to taunt. I have a problem that he did it my house and backed it up. I can respect it and still hate his fucking guts for shitting on my day, just like i love it when lillard shits on other fans days.
This. He' a really good 3pt shooter who is propped up by a corrupt league. Steve Kerr was as good or better than him across the board.
What!? Even if hand checking would have made things more difficult, defenses having to play man to man and illegal defense would have helped him. Today, the best way to stop or slow him is to trap and that wouldn't be possible back then. The guy is super creative and had the highest FG% in the league on layups, he could roast straight man to man D.
